I had NRG2 put in at 60. It was ok but switched to Lux Big banger rough mains at 55 and some gosen synthetic for crosses at 59. Feels great.

The best 3.5's I have seen are people with less errors. At this level it rarely has anything to do with how hard you hit, How good the serve is, or how much you can slice a ball. If you can keep the ball deep and hit left to right well enough to force the other player to make an error you win...

Chris you are correct on that one. It took everything in my power to keep that racquet headed over my shoulder. Which caused big time stiffening of the arm. I will try to relax more next time. Problem was when I relaxed on the first video I was following under the shoulder :cry:

Yeah I watched those. I play a lot of 4.0's since most of my friends played high school tennis so I get plenty of running forehands. Thats not what i'm trying to do here. It's hard to change forehand strokes when you are worried about running for the ball.

I am also a 3.5. I first bought the APDC. It's a nice raquet but I then played with my little brothers Liquidmetal 4. Great raquet and it's only like $65. My APDC just sits in my bag now if that says anything

I will give it a shot. I never really had this problem until playing doubles in USTA matches. It seems like it's mostly mental because I never used to have a problem with returns.
