My 2012 Babolat Pure Drive Standard Review!!!!!

Just got this beautiful stick 2 days ago. It's strung with Babolat Hurricane Feel on 58 lbs. with a Wilson Pro Overgrip Let me say this first, but I think that the new paintjob is absolutely gorgeous. Babolat added a cool looking crystal-like texture to all the blue accents. The stick is...

    Help me choose wilson racket

I wouldn't worry too much about the ntrp recommendations. i mean, the recs are true for some people, but there have been a number of exceptions I am a self-rated 3.5 and I have no problem with playing with a BLX Six.One Tour. In fact, I play better with the 6.1 better than any other racquet...

    The Youtek Radicals

the Youtek Radical Pro is not even close to maneuverable. the huge swingweight makes the stick feel much heavier than it really is. if you're talking both powerful and maneuverable I would prefer the Youtek Prestige Pro

    Brand Loyalty Who gets yours

i'm split 50/50 between head and wilson.............but it's mostly because of the 6.1's and Prestige's that capture my attention

What does each racket brand (Head, Yonex, Wilson, Etc.) specialize in?

wilson: true player's frame, demanding, very control-oriented head: all-around, frames that always try to adapt babolat: powerful midplus frames ideal for baseliners prince: similar to head, very well-rounded

    Need help with racquet!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I normally play with a BLX90 and I want to get something that's similar in specs but with a more crisp feel. I came across the K 6.1 95 and saw the humongous swing weight. Is it really that high? Is the K6.1 easier to swing than the BLX90? I don't want it if the swing weight is too high.

2 things I'd Like to See...

    String patterns and feel

well in my experience open stringed patterned racquets are more lively, so its harder to control the ball. tight string patterns do offer better control, but i would go with a small headsize with an open string pattern to make up for the lost control

    Need some advice for baseliners

im going to play against high school players soon, and i think i need some tips for defeating them. i know that they are all about topspin and power, and that they hardly slice and don't care much about control. also, they are not very consistent (most points end with 7 shots or less)...

    Need help with choosing strings...

I play with a BLX90. I'm looking for a soft multi that feels very buttery but isn't too powerful/wild. I would like some suggestions....

Where to go from here for a Kblade Tour user?

i was a former user of the kblade tour before i switched. u might wanna look at the BLX 90 because even though it is heavier, it swings pretty light. it is similar to the kblade in that it also has a soft feel and is very stable, so u should have no prob adjusting to it

    BLX line

but the thing is im switching to something with an open string pattern, and blades will never have open string patterns
  16. T

    BLX line

ok, i received a wilson brochure that explains what blx actually stands for. the bl is basalt, while the x stands for the 9 "technologies" that wilson came up with. having said that, i looked inside the brochure and was surprised to see no blades in there. sorry wilson blade series fans, but...

racquets slightly above your level: good or bad idea?

well I'm a self rated 3.0 and I play with a K90, so I guess it really doesn't matter. Someone here at the 3.5 level also played with a KPS88...

    My 2010 racquet technology ridicule

*Note:This post is just for fun and I have no intention of criticizing the legitimacy of the mentioned racquet technologies. 2010, another year, and another chapter in the development of racquet tech. A couple of new techs were recently introduced, and let's look at each one seperately...

What are pressureless tennis balls like?

they bounce way higher than normal pressured balls. once u play with them long enough, they will look like crap but will bounce just like a new ball. sometimes they chang directions after bouncing too

    BLX90 vs. K90 comparison/analysis

i would say 4 pieces of 2 in. long lead tape (width about 3/8 in.) weights lighter. if u want even lighter than that get the asian version

    BLX90 vs. K90 comparison/analysis

the n90 and blx90 should be somewhat similar, but the blx90 will be more forgiving for sure
