This. A few years back I started the AIP diet and the energy is through the roof. I'm almost 54 and play six days a week of singles and some days I play twice at 4.5+ level. Diet is king.
Yes, I am not a big fan of Wasabi. I prefer the crisp feel of the Caviar. I had the pink Wasabi in but recently replaced it with Caviar in all rackets.
I'm currently working with the following at 52 lbs:
Toroline Caviar main/Gosen OG Sheep Micro cross
Toroline Wasabi main/Gosen OG Sheep Micro cross
Restring Zero main/Gosen OG Sheep Micro cross
All in 1.20/1.23 gauge and I think the Caviar is the best by a good margin. Crisp combo with...
I’ve tried a couple different customizations on my 16x19s and just can’t gel with this racket like my Speed Pros. A friend uses them and loves them but they just aren’t for me I guess.
I’ve tested a variety of specs and decided on the following unstrung specs in my v8 16x19:
330g
30.7 cm balance
304 sw
Currently stringing them with 16g NRG2
Not sure how famous he is but Steve Kerr‘s brother Jeff played in our 4.5 league a while back. He captained a team out of Lansing, MI and was a decent player and a very nice guy overall.
Mine are modified as 325g, 31.3 and 308sw unstrung and I currently have 17g Wilson but in main and Alu Power 18g in crosses at 57/55 as this is a dense pattern and I don’t break strings too fast. Great combo once it settles in.
I would agree with this. I have some of the newest model Speed Pros customized to the same spec I had done in the BP as far as weight, balance and SW but they play very differently. I am certainly preferring the Speed Pros thus far. BP is great, just not for everyone.
I have a service matching to my specs I use on Speed Pros. 341 SW with Lynx Tour in it. I’m just testing two of them and will at most use four of them and sell the rest. Got them at a good deal.
I have them ordered and when they come in, I use a local company to customize so the mods will depend on how the Wilson QC looks when they arrive. I'm just guessing I'll end up in the 340 SW strung range based on my current specs.
