so, now that 2 out of big 3 are retired and no one has all stats on his side, who is greater?

Nadal. Nadal managed to beat Federer on grass but Fed was hopeless against Nadal on clay. Of course you can make an arguement for Fed being better than Nadal due to Fed having better records vs the field or Fed having better GS resumes on hard court & grass court But i think that the better...

Did Djokovic surpass the pre-OE titans of the game?

Didnt the guy lose to Hewitt a baseliner? How could Pete even compete against the big 3, who are superior to Hewitt? Pete's style of play belongs to the 90s.

Did Djokovic surpass the pre-OE titans of the game?

i would argue that if you put the prime versions of these guys in the modern era, they would lose to prime Murray. They would already have weaker serve and inferior stamina to prime Murray.

Did Djokovic surpass the pre-OE titans of the game?

Of course. The game evolves. in mid 1970, top division English footballers covered about 9 km per match. in modern days, World Cup tournament footballers cover about 11 km per match. Modern athletes are simply more fit than 1970s athletes.

The YEC is the 5th biggest event in tennis. Not the Olympics.

ATP finals is not that prestigious. What kind of prestigious event changed its name 3 times (ATP Tour World Championships, Tennis Masters Cup, ATP World Tour Finals, ATP Finals)

Is US OPEN now the worst slam?

This is the point. Hard court does not favour one specific playstyle over the others. You can grind or servebot. A mixture of both is usually the way to win on hardcourt. On clay you have to grind.

Is US OPEN now the worst slam?

in terms of prestige Wimbledon is the best but in terms of competition its the worst because most players do not spend alot of time to play on grass. Roland Garros has been called the worst slam due to having the worst infrastructure and not being as well organized as the other 3 slams but in...

"Winning a [Olympic Gold] medal is right there to winning a Slam" -Leylah Fernández

What sounds better? Former world number one or olympic gold medalist? Former world number one even with just one week > Olympic Gold. in tennis there is also another achievement that is greater than winning a Wimbledon. That is becoming world number 1. The likes of Wawrinka, Cilic, Thiem, Del Potro, etc... were never consistent enough to become world number one. if you ask Zverev to pick between being called world number one...

"Winning a [Olympic Gold] medal is right there to winning a Slam" -Leylah Fernández

But when it comes to tennis, Wimbledon is the most prestigious, not Olympic Gold. in football its World Cup. in cycling, its Tour de France, in F1 its Grand Prix Monaco, in boxing its Championship belts from WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF.

Nah Do the best boxers, F1 drivers, cyclists, footballers need to win an olympic gold? All these sports already have their own prestigious events / championships. Olympic Gold Medals are for sports that do not have a great number of viewership.

lol. So tennis is now played on clay only? The most dominant tennis player is the one who won the most trophies (slams, atp finals, masters & maybe olympic gold) and has the longest reign at number one. in soccer its like calling the team who always win their home games but does not have the...
