I'm used to weight in the 360g+ range and can't believe how stable this 300g frame is and how much plow it offers. I haven't added any weight besides a leather grip but look forward to experimenting.

Hi @Radical Shot , on your customized Oliver, do you have trouble pulling very elastic strings like gut, where they 'bottom-out' due to the string stretching too much? Trying to avoid having to double pull to get the tension.

Thanks Irvin, I haven't had a chance to re-visit these racquets. They're a pair of Wilson Classic 6.1s I bought used and I did notice something after reading your post - they have different brands of leather grip. I'll remove those grips and recheck specs. Thanks again for your ideas.

I find difference in balance throws off volleys and overheads more while swingweight affects groundstrokes more.

@Irvin how would you approach scenarios where the lighter racquet has higher torque at the butt, assuming unstrung frames and no way to take off weight?

In your ALU hybrid, which one is the one that eventually trampolines and which goes dead? I find that soft strings often end up trampolining.

What kind of dampener? Those bulky black Volkl dampeners weigh over 4g.

I was surprised to learn that you can vary the dampening by how you tie the rubberband. Check out this video and try one of the more complex techniques to increase dampening. A bit long at 20 mins so maybe watch with faster playback speed!

Poly Tour Pro will lose tension and notch up but the feel remains fairly consistent. Doesn't get all steel wire-like.

To adjust to the increased K90 swingweight, you could tension higher than your PS90 to reduce weight of the head. That could also help depth control since the K90 hits a bigger ball.

Mine is 12g as well. Hard to measure thickness but definitely thinner than most stock grips.

Wilson Advantage and Volkl V-Tac are good options if you're looking for high sweat absorption. Advantage is good if you prefer cloth/felt feel (like Tourna Original) while V-Tac has more of a tacky feel (similar to but less than Supergrap).

Since it sounds like you're okay with the weight of the TT 95, have you considered a leather grip for your V1 Pro? Don't know if you like the firmness of leather but that'll give you some more pop.
