Which podcast about pro tennis do you like better?

Served and Gill Gross are the two I listen to.

Whateley on Djokovic's statue "Novak is not loved here. He can be admired by for his achievements, but he's not loved."

I'm the biggest Rafa fan of all time and will go to my grave thinking he's the best player who lived. But stats wise, I must concede that Novak has an impeccable, GOAT level CV. I'd rather watch Fed a million times out of million and Rafa a trillion times out of a trillion before Novak. But I...

Whateley on Djokovic's statue "Novak is not loved here. He can be admired by for his achievements, but he's not loved."

Duh. Everyone knows this. Novak is the GOAT. Rafa and Fed will always be more loved.

Sinner is taking Djokovic and Federer's HARD COURT RECORDS!

All that and Rafa remains unfazed.

At nearly 30 years of age, how far past her peak/prime was Keys in beating world number one and two for the AO title?

Not sure about peaking, but I do know that third set was some of the most exciting tennis I've seen in a long time. Keys earned her Slam, that's for sure. I am a huge Saba fan, but man. Keys impressed the hell out of me.

    Djokovic's MRI scan result

The thing he's not quite getting is that he's claimed "injury" so many times mid-match in the past and he turned out to be totally fine. Not only does he usually go on to win that match, he often goes on to win the tourney. It makes us fans kinda roll our eyes when he's "injured". Simply put...

How come Federer was a better returner against big servers compared to Djokovic?

This proves what I've always thought: Rafa is just as good, if not better, a returner as Novak.
  8. J

At the slam level, who do you think between Federer, Nadal and Djokovic has achieved less than they could have?

If you include lost chances due to injury it's Rafa by a million miles. He wins 2-4 more if he plays even half of the 16 slams he missed due to injury. And that's being conservative. Novak has had a few unlucky Slam instances, but he's been mostly healthy and won more close ones than he's...

    #YourThoughts….. Nadal retrospective edition.

Kobe and Rafa are my athletic gods. Both gave me endless hours of excitement, joyous wins, bitter losses, rebirths, insane moments of greatness and the one thing I love most about athletes: Giving their absolute all every single point or play. To quote Tina Turner: Rafa is simply the best.

    Nadal Retires

My GOAT for sure. Thanks for two decades of the most thrilling tennis I've ever witnessed. It's been a wild ride.

Does the USO win change your view: Sinner = doper

I never believed he doped. So no.

The Alcaraz -Sinner Rivalry is Confirmed - choose your weapon!

What's so fun, is that I am not really sure who is going to come out on top. We knew Sampras was usually going to beat Andre. We knew Rafa was usually going to beat Fed (unless it was indoors hard). But it's really anyone's guess between Sinner and Carlos.
  13. J

    Sinner will win USO 2024

The Open suddenly turned kinda fun. So many guys could take the title. Sinner is obviously the favorite. But it's been so long where we didn't assume any Slam would go to Rafa/Fed/Novak and then (to a lesser extent) Carlos.

How did Rafa look today at the Olympics???

I am the world's biggest Rafa fan. But come on. You don't really believe this, do you? Novak is still playing elite (or close to elite) level tennis. Rafa is playing amazing, all things considered. But he's not playing elite, Rafa level tennis of, say, 2022. And there's nothing wrong with that...

Has Carlos Surpassed Hewitt and equal to Murray now?

Hasn't passed Agassi just yet. But he will most likely. He's fifth best at the moment, imo. But man what a one sided blowout he delivered today.

Top 10 Tennis Players in last 25 Years?

    1. Novak (24 slams) 2. Nadal (22 slams) 3. Federer (20 slams) 4. Agassi (5 slams) 5. Sampras (3 slams) 6. Murray (3 Slams) 7. Carlos (3 slams) 8. Stan (3 slams) 9. Safin (2 slams) 10. Hewitt (2 slams)

Will Sinner be the weakest one Slam wonder of all time?

I think Rafa was the weakest one slam winner in mid-June of 2005. At it's not even close. Sinner is Peak Fed compared to that.

Rafa REACTS to the Greatest Match of All Time - Nadal v Federer Wimbledon 2008

Ah. The match that cemented Rafa's place in sporting history. What a day that was.

Prime Novak vs prime Federer on clay

This one is pretty easy. Peak Fed beats Peak Novak 6-4 at RG.

Alcaraz will get the better of Sinner in this rivalry ...

It'll be like Rafa and Novak. One will run off a few in a row. Then the other. They will end up close to 50/50 H2H when all is said and done.
  22. J

    Wimbeldon 2024 prediction

Gosh it'd be dumb for Novak to play. Don't pull a Wimby 22 Rafa and do something rash that will cause him to quickly decline for his last year or two on tour.
  23. J

Carlos Alcaraz vs Rafael Nadal after playing their first slam at age 21

Carlos is great, but it's clearly Rafa. More big titles. And playing against peak Fed.
  24. J

Better English at the same age, Carlos or Rafael?

Carlos, but Rafa was more instantly lovable.
  25. J

    Djokovic has withdrawn from RG2024

Oh man. I always joke that he's never *really* injured, but this blows. I can't stand injury when it happens to my favs or my least favs. It just sucks for the sport and the player. Ugh.
  26. J

Should Djokovic play the QF or quit before if injured ?

Lol. Like anyone believes he's actually injured.
  27. J

    Novak's tremors

He needs to get to the pyramids! STAT!

Ranking Sharapova, Davenport and Clijsters - Whos the greatest?

I really like all three and rooted for all three. If I didn't know the stats and was only able watch all three play at their peak? I would assume Davenport ended with the most slams. Her game was huge. But the simple fact is Maria has the best stats. The CS being the biggest of her stat...

Nadal vs Djokovic Roland Garros 2008 Semi Final. Enjoy.

True. As would 2008 Rafa. And Fed for that matter. Easily.
