Switched from leather, to leather with overgrip to Babolat Skin Feel replacement grip. Hard and firm edges like leather but nice synthetic medium tack.

I had that same exact type of blister (basically a hole in your skin once it tears) and couldn't play for about 3-4 weeks. I had to drop out of a tournament mid-match. I tried tape, etc. I've played through pain before but that blister was an insane. Can't believe he could play with that.
