What are people crossing Pure Rush with? I was thinking of a round, crisp and soft poly to maximize snap back. I don't care for the disconnected feel of GhostWire. Any ideas?

@Trip Just curious. Why do you specifically mention Co-Focus "silver"? Is the playability of the other colors different?

@Grapplesnake USA Official 61 year old 4.5 doubles player with a Percept 97 here. I am playing with an M8 / Alpha hybrid, but looking for more power and perhaps a crispier feel. Any suggestions? Also, can you provide a power scale for your strings from lowest to highest? Thank you!

I am playing with a Percept 97 with M8. I tried a full bed of M8 and enjoy the control, feel and medium power. I am looking for a soft and crisp cross that will be comfortable to my sensitive arm. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the response. I tried 3g at 12 on one frame and 3g total at 10+2 and also 1g at 12 on another frame. I have been using Babolat VS gut mains 1.30 with YPTP 1.25 and VS 1.30 with MSV Swift 1.30.

Any updates on lead placement on the Percept 97? I have been trying combinations at 10+2 and 12. With the lead, the frame is certainly more solid. However, I am feeling the frame is still a little underpowered on the volley and serve. Any ideas?

Where did you place the lead and how much?

Thank you both. I thought the stock Yonex grip was pretty thin. I switched to a Head Hydrosorb pro, which added a few grams and acts to counterbalance the lead in the head. I will try 2g each at 3 and 9, then maybe add a slight amount of lead at 12.

Looking for some ideas on the amount and placement of lead on the Yonex Percept 97. I am experimenting with 2g at 2 and 10 (4g total). Quite a bit of improvement over stock, but not quite where I think it should be. I am thinking the racket needs a little bit more plow through.

Which natural gut / poly are you using in the Percept 97?

From prior posts, I know string weights can rage from 15g-22g. Does anyone have a list of particular string brand / model and the corresponding weight?

True but it is probably better for one's game if they stick to one string. Maybe not as fun though!
