How to get teflon tubing to work????!!!

Always found Teflon a pain, invested in fittex and grommet grinders many years ago and its a far better solution.

    Babolat 3502 tension accuracy

I have a 3001 and a star 3 and all I can say is that range is consistent with them and I think is pretty dam good considering the constant pull nature of the machine and string stretch Also I guess there will be the accuracy of your digital scale but all in all im happy with mine.

Stringing instructions for 2020 Babolat Pure Aero VS. ??

Yawn - should be one post and one answer, job done. But yet another derailed petulant posting-fest. Keep it up guys, see if you can bore everyone to death whilst simultaneously devaluing the forum entirely.

    Storage setting on crank machines

I've seen a fair few eagnas and pros pro manuals which say set to zero (comet doesn't). So maybe go based on the machine you have and the manufacturers instructions assuming they say it for a reason.... would seem a sensible start point. Regardless i would suggest checking the calibration...

    Storage setting on crank machines

Your spring will slowly creep/stretch over time. Manufacturers instructions always say to release them. I've not measured the rate of loss but it will happen. Buy a cheap luggage scale and calibrate the machine. I've bought a cheap one off am zon and had a very expensive electronic one and...

    Storage setting on crank machines

Yes, relax it back to take tension off spring. You should do that as standard anyway not just for long term storage.

    Babolat stringing machines history

Every machine will obviously be very different, but I bought a very well used, but also well maintained 2001 nearly 10 years ago. It hasn't missed a beat. It is always a risk as repairs aren't readily available or may not be possible but these are tanks. If you were savvy I suspect you could...

    Wise 2086 Error code 1

Im just coming at this as someone who used to enjoy dipping in and out of this forum. I'm finding it a less enjoyable way to use a spare 15 minutes over recent times, largely due to this issue. But I'm a big boy, I can choose not to visit. Plus i do appreciate the irony of me rail roading this...

    Wise 2086 Error code 1

I think the OP only asked about an error code??? The petty bickering and metaphorical comparison of your appendage sizes is really boring. Do you think you could have a separate thread for whinging at each other as the rail roading of every thread for this same purpose is a bit tiresome. Just...

    Babolat Star 3

I would snap it up assuming it works. If all else failed I bet you could part it out and get most of that back. String clamps are expensive so give them a good test and adjustment to. I had original babolat ones but the mechanism was worn out and they'd pop open. from memory the high service...

2022. Would you run a star 3 as your main machine?

It doesn't even include the string clamps, crazy price. Makes no economic sense vs a new machine. Those machines (star 3 or 4) are £500 max in my opinion. Good chance they'll serve you well at that price. Only reason to spend big is if you need it for a very specific reason but you need...

2022. Would you run a star 3 as your main machine?

I do use one and have done for many years without a hiccup. I did pick up another machine to harvest parts if anything did fail but nothing has. They are great but as you say its down to what you are willing or able to risk. If you see one I'd test it thoroughly.

    New duffle...opinions sought

Have an older TF rackpack...... absolute beast. Great build quality and just a great bag. Assuming similar quality then you really can't go wrong.

Can’t believe Messi is leaving Barça

Not exactly accurate / fair. They aren't allowed to offer him less than 50% of his previous wage. So even if he offered to play for free it would likely have legal implications and wouldn't be accepted.

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

Thats intetesting. I wasn't aware of that. I should probably just accept the limitations and be pleased my machine is still alive and kicking at this point

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

Yip, that's what's being discussed. It's just with time and changes in machine ownership it seems it's become unclear what options/adaptations existed.

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

I have badminton 6/12 supports for my star 3 so they must have existed. I suspect there's folk coming across lots of such dusty pieces of metal in their stores and they get chucked as they have no idea what they're for! Unfortunate!

Did they stop making the ERT 300?

I see there's a company selling them for £999. Nothing like a supply issue to drive up the price!!

Are 2 point mounting systems safe?

It's not just the risk of physical harm, I once heard about a guy who strung on a 2 point machine. He ended up pregnant..... figure that one out. Never happens with 6 point.

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

I also use load spreaders (like you can pick up on the bay). They buy you about 10mm at either end so can be helpful.

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

The images in post 12 are the original ones that came with the machines. I think there may another one also, but don't have mine to hand to check.

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

If don't have the spacers in post 12 I'd look to see if you find them, or have some machined. They are necessary for quite a few frames. But, in terms of my issue even having those adapters doesn't mean all OS frames will be able to be mounted, especially where the beams get thicker.

When I had my hip resurfaced and realised I wouldn't win another slam.

Adapters for Babolat machines when stringing oversize frames?

The arms do spread further. Ideally I would shift the racket so it moved up towards the head so at the throat it moved to a narrower point of the V, but that all depends on the strung pattern and adaptors allowing that. On some rackets it just doesn't. The issue is the beam thickness of the...

beginner stringer-racquet buzzing after new string job

Stick a dampener on, if it goes away it's prob not a crack. I foubd weird buzzing sounds from odd things like tail ends of knots, cross overs that lay in just the wrong place and things like that. I've had rackets that I've then strung again and the sound has gone away.

    What’s your string times?

I'm shocked you'd partake in such blatantly illegal activities like placing a dampening device there.

    What’s your string times?

Don't usually pay much attention but last night had 2 APDs arrive. Were received strung. Exactly an hour later doorbell rang to pick back up and the second was just getting the final straighten so 30 minutes all in.
