    Great Zappa Quote

"You say you can't live with what you been through Well, ladies you can be an ***hole too You might pretend you ain't got one on the bottom of you, But don't fool yourself girl It's lookin' at you" "They never be workin' when they oughta should" "Make way for the iron sausage"

Things are heating up! Now we've got football out of the way it's business time. Down to one undefeated. UK back to looking very strong.

Covers that are better than the original song?

Post above reminded me of Johnny Cash doing "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. Far better than the original. Never could get into any Trent Reznor stuff tho...

Covers that are better than the original song?

Already mentioned, but "with a little help from my friends" was better all around with Joe Cocker. Little known fact is that's Jimmy Page on lead guitar from his session days. I'm a big Beatles guy but I like Joe's arrangement better and well, Ringo sang the original. Would've preferred Paul...

    College Hoops 2015

That was a good one. I liked it even better when UK knocked IU out of the tourney later that same season and won it all. IU was looking good there for a minute... what happened?

    College Hoops 2015

Yeah the Malone thing seemed out if the blue. Boogie seemed settled and was playing awesome. Now he's back to ragdolling punks like Marcus Smart. I don't get what's going on there, at least teams like Philly are above board in their tanking, the Kings seem intent on wrecking the organization...

Whaddaya say Kev! I knew you'd rep the left coast for the BBM! Still enjoying Boogie out there?

    College Hoops 2015

I live in Louisville. Big time UK fan. It's been a very fun few years to say the least. Beat the crap out of UL and got to knock them and IU out of the tourney the last few years. Good times. Cats are all time good this year though, it's a whole new level. Really only Duke and Wisconsin scare me.

    best drums

Good call on Benny Greb. Dude can play anything and has a nasty solid groove. Great combo of technique and feel\emotion. Great player! I met Joe Morello back in the 90's at a drum clinic. His assistant had to lead him to his drums because he was so blind, but once he was on the throne he...

    Holy Bracketology!

Ouch. I've been out of town and couldn't post. It really hurts losing a game at the foul line. The louisville cardinals had a recent taste of that!!! Hats off to uconn. They brought it all game, and Shabazz Napier is a helluva player. It was a fun ride and at least we got to knock the dirty...

Somebody get Aaron Harrison a wheelbarrow. How else is he gonna carry that huge sack around? I mean come on!!!

    Holy Bracketology!

I fail to see how any of that has any bearing on his coaching ability. Is that the worst of it? I mean, do we need to go into what Pitino got into a few years back? Fact is, Cal tells it like it is, Slick Rick is the one who is consistently full of it. How many times has he pulled the ol' "...

    Holy Bracketology!

Take a look at the UMASS teams he took to number 1 in the country. Not many superstars or future NBA guys. Like I said, 1 all-american the whole time he was there, yet he still took them to no. 1 and a final four. With a bunch of dudes whose names you would not recognize. Hell he beat what is...

    Holy Bracketology!

Sup Kev! If by "enjoyed" you mean crawling out of my skin the whole time and nearly having a massive coronary, then yeah, I enjoyed it. What a tournament! These last 2 weekends have affected me like an 8 year presidential term. They always enter office with a head of thick, dark hair, when they...

    Holy Bracketology!

If he's such a lousy coach, how do you explain his success at UMASS in the 90's, I think he only had 1 all-american the whole time he was there! He did pretty darn good at Memphis as well, with not that many all americans (3-4 over 8 years?). Everybody knows Derek Rose, but beyond that it's not...

    Guitar players..your favorite acoustic?

Here's a link to a band I'm in that just recorded an EP- http://www.reverbnation.com/sixmilesound . Still need to make some adjustments to the mix, but there are 4 songs to check out. We did this basically in a 10 hour session. Interesting thing about this outfit is that none of us are playing...

    Guitar players..your favorite acoustic?

My favorite acoustic that I own and honestly one of the best i've ever played is a Seagull parlour guitar. Small body, with solid wood top back and sides, but a standard scale neck and it is FAT. That's one thing I like about the Seagulls, fat, chunky necks. Surprisingly the guitar is pretty...

    server speed, lies lies lies......

So you're saying that is someone hits a 100 mph second serve it's only 30 or 40 mph after it hits the court? No way that's the case. Or do you mean that it's 60-70% total speed, so like 60 or 70 mph after the bounce? That seems more reasonable.

Hypothetical Match: Johny Mac vs Serena

Mac just beat Sampras on the senior tour like a year or so ago. Dudes he's playing on the senior tour are all still serving much bigger than Serena. Gimme a break. This match will never come to fruition because Serena knows she'd catch a beating. This particular match is brought up every few...

    Spike Albrecht: The April Asassin!

Haha, you got me. I cannot bring myself to cheer for the chickens. As cool as it is to have the title in Kentucky back to back, the fact I live in Louisville gives the rivalry extra seasoning. Plus there's the fact that Pitino is a turncoat bas***d... I kinda wanted to try to cheer for them, but...

    Spike Albrecht: The April Asassin!

Could the officiating have been any worse!?! My god, they blew a ton of calls that really hurt Michigan. Obvious calls. And I live in Louisville.

American football top prospect switching to rugby

You don't have to be the absolute best or fastest back in football to still have world class athleticism. He was the national champions leading rusher that year, it not like he was some bum. He's not as athletic as say Reggie Bush, true, but it's all relative. To the common guy on the street he...

American football top prospect switching to rugby

He was certainly a top prospect for the pro's, it's just that he didn't pan out. Basically he tried to sue so he could enter the NFL draft before he had played his requisite 3 years in college. At first he wins, it gets overturned in the supreme court, but Clarrett had hired an agent and the...
