Covid & tennis.. What happens when 2020 records are archived?

Agree but officially participation wasnt mandatory for USO 2020, hence rafa carried over his 2019 points.. As the rollover points, participation etc was ATP mandated & not onus on a player (loss of form, defeat, injury) to match his 2019 performance.. To me, it does seem like rafa (along with...

Covid & tennis.. What happens when 2020 records are archived?

If rafa wins 2021 USO, will it count as defending...

How many of these Slams was Federer gonna win without Djokovic?

If Djokovic wasn't around, Nadal would have mopped up 2011 along with Federer! Fed would have been broken & retired by 2013.. Maybe we'd get to see that amazing AO2009 trophy presentation slam after slam!

    Slam Count Redux

With all other players (late '80s to mid noughties) in the field and their skills being the same including the Big 3, say if Federer was born in 1971, Nadal in 1976 and Djokovic in 1977, what do you think their slam count would be and what would be the slam count of that generation's superstars...

Is Federer a beneficiary of courts being slowed?

On lightening fast courts, Federer was 158-93 (1998-2002). His best results were in 2001 reaching QF in FO, Wimby, Miami and Monte Carlo. Rest were all Q1, Q2, R1 and if lucky R2- a solid top 50 Slowed courts to his liking & his game and he goes on a tear post 2002. Discuss

Big 3 amount of series of consecutive Slam titles

I'm not anti Federer but am not anti djokovic or Nadal too.. But for a tennis player forever revolving around 250s before courts slowed down, what does it say about him? Nadal could have run over had he chose to participate in South American clay Anyway with all due respect to you, Hamburg 2002...

Big 3 amount of series of consecutive Slam titles

We're talking beyond 250s here.. He amassed enough 250s to jack up his titles to over 100..if I'm not wrong, he has more 250s than djokodal put together!!! Prior to his 2003 Wimbledon win, what was his biggest title?

Big 3 amount of series of consecutive Slam titles

Luzworthy reply for the man purported to be the GOAT (no arguments there, obviously along with Nadal and djokovic as the trio) and amongst the best, all big titles and deep runs prior to 2003 Wimbledon were on clay!

Big 3 amount of series of consecutive Slam titles

Federer was supposed to be winning slams in his teenage, all ATGs were.. Borg, Becker, Nadal etc etc.. That he couldn't is proof enough that lightening fast courts were his nemesis..slowing down the courts helped him achieve greatness While there's no doubt he is a quality player and deserves...
