    MS200 Tour Pro

Yeah you should definitely go for it. I bought one for around that price and so glad I did. The warranty is transferable, and although mine had around a year left, I knew how good SW customer service is, as I had emailed them lots when I was researching the MS200. Even though my warranty is up...

*** New Stringway Cross Stringing Tool***

Technatic, you appear to know alot about the tool, but I guess it is because you have been using these kind of tools since 85. I bought one of the tools, and it took me I would say 5 rackets before I got 100% used to it. Now i use it as long as the type of racket allows me, as it is so much...

*** New Stringway Cross Stringing Tool***

I saw that SW added an extra comb for their High Density cross stringer so that the HD version can be used for very high density string patterns. Did anybody use the HD tool on HD patterns for Wilson and Head rackets? They offer the set, the comb and the second cross stringer for a special...

    Laserfibre MS200 DX used pricing?

I bought a used Stringway, around a year ago and it really is a great machine. The warranty is transferable from seller to buyer, and even if you dont have a receipt, I believe they can tell by the serial number how old your machine is. The customer service at Stringway/Alpha is great, if you...

Stringway users: How long do you wait until you clamp the string?

No i dont know the engineer personally. I just got in contact with Fred. He knows alot and he didnt even need to ask the engineer I dont think about the questions I asked him. He seems to know everything about his machines, not many people do. Did Fred contact you or the engineer?

Stringway users: How long do you wait until you clamp the string?

Diredesire I have talked about this in detail with SW and here is some more information: The force transducer that is used is a Mecmesin force gauge that can be used with its internal load cel or with an external load cel which is using the electronics of the unit. The measuring system is a...

Stringway users: How long do you wait until you clamp the string?

I asked SW about their set up, the test set up doesnt seem to be very complicated: SW has a test set up with a digital force transducer to calibrate their elect ron ic units. So on one side it has the tension unit and on the other side the force transducer. The force transducer is...

Stringway users: How long do you wait until you clamp the string?

Sorry for the late reply, just got back from Holiday. I received the document from Stringway, so I assume it is them who has done the testing, although I am not 100% sure.

Stringway users: How long do you wait until you clamp the string?

Diredesire; I have graphs that show the tension of different tension systems while they pull. The graphs of the lock outs are really bad, because they loose up to 17 lbs of tension after locking. The loss depends on the type of string, polys loose much more than multis. If anybody is...

Stringway users: How long do you wait until you clamp the string?

Yeah both the above posts are very good. I have heard you should wait around 6 seconds, however if you do the above, you should probably have already waited 6 or so seconds before clamping.

    OFFICIAL "Ask YuLitle" Thread

You dont put the scrap string in the grommet, well i dont anyway. I put it vertically up, in between the frame and the string that blocks the hole, which is normally a tie off string. Then when you release the clamps the scrap piece of string is tight to the fame, and will not fall out unless...

^ Put a scrap piece of string under one of the main strings that blocks the hole, just before tensioning or tying off, whatever that specific string needs. This make is alot easier.

*** New Stringway Cross Stringing Tool***

Going over the 1st main is definitely easier, even if you just think about it, your just placing the string in the tool as if the string isnt there. If you want to go under the first main, just move the tool in the direction you are planning to weave, before securing the tool onto the mains.

*** New Stringway Cross Stringing Tool***

Yeah pulling the string through the tool saves alot of time, and as you say protects the mains. What strings have you used for the 6 rackets? Any poly or nat gut? Do you use the short channel of the tool for the first 2 crosses and then turn the tool around, or do what i do and hand weave the...
