    Yonex Vcore Pro 97 290g (2019 - Emerald Green)

I’ve also tested rather 320 grams version of this frame, the Vcore Pro 97 HG. It’s the least powered of the three

    Yonex Vcore Pro 97 290g (2019 - Emerald Green)

Yes, I’ve tested the 310g version and the 100 sq 300g version too, and with the Yonex Vcore Pro 97 LG (290g) I hit surprisingly with more depth. I feel the 100sq 300g versión have more inherent power, but the it applies to each shot an amount of spin that takes away power. The 97sq 290g version...

    Official Wilson Clash thread

I’ve recently tested both Clash 100 and Clash Tour, with the same string at the same tension (Yonex Poly Tour Fire 120 @24kg), and founded some differences in playability between the two. The Clash Tour plays way more powerful and has a higher launch angle. Control is below average, specially...

Thick gauge polyester string recommendation for Prince ESP racquet

I strung it at 57lbs. I’ve purchased a set of Prince Tour XC 15G for direct comparison, I will go lower on tension, probably put 55lbs. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk

Thick gauge polyester string recommendation for Prince ESP racquet

Hi, I’m using a Prince Warrior Pro 100T ESP, leaded up to 300g (strung). Never tried before thick gauges, as the manufacturer suggests, and recently tested Prince Tour XP 15L. The difference in terms of predictability and duration is amazing, but the string is a bit boardy and lacking feel...

    Trouble serving with APD 2013

For me APD 2013 was one of the best serving racquet out there, even in stock form (has mine customized with silicone and lead up to 330g-32cm-318kgcm2)

Who still uses a 10 year or older racket

Would be nice to see a poll here. I've recently acquired a Yonex RQ-300 WIDEBODY. Such a powerful frame, yet controlled feel. Enormous sweet spot with a plenty stable head at hitting groundstrokes (with some lead in the handle to bring balance to 34cm it is also plenty stable at the net), and...

Which racket has highest spin by experience?

Obviously the spin rackets have the most capability to create spin . I've tested a lot of rackets, and my here are my tops: - Wilson Steam 99LS - Yonex RDS 002 tour (UL) -amazing kicks- - Babolat APD

Babolat Pure Aero vs. AeroPro Drive (2013)

Yes, that's exactly what I feel, know it sound quite strange, but for some reason its true. I think the more consistently feeling I find at serves its due to the higher position of the sweet spot, it helps to "down" the ball... But for hitting groundies with semiwesthern grip and topspin the...

Babolat Pure Aero vs. AeroPro Drive (2013)

Tried the new Pure Aero yesterday. Totally different frame than the AeroPro drive it replaces. I prefer the old version, hands down: more consistency, more control, and even more forgiving feel and stability on off center shots, with has surprised me because of the higher value of SW of the Pure...

More Powerful and Comfortable? V1 Classic or BB London

Such different frames, London is a forgiving, comfortable players racket with good control, great feel and decent power&spin. V1 is much more comfortable and powerful.

    Wilson_Steam_99LS

Any string will break faster in a spin racket, if you choose large gauges you may add 2-3 hours more, but that's all (I'm 4.5 player). This is the main downside of this racket, be prepared to string frequently! Otherwise, I'm right now experimenting with string. Wilson Ripspin, Wilson Revolve...

    Wilson_Steam_99LS

Yep, I chose pacific leather grip because of its weight. I played the standard version one year and a half ago, and I found a bit sluggish, which was the only feature I didn't like about it. With the LS I have all the pros of the standard version (OK not as stable and powerful but almost...

    Wilson_Steam_99LS

I hace 3 Steam LS, all of them weighted up with pacific leather grip (+10g), silicone in handle (+4-5g) and lead from 3 to 9 (4-5g). The frames are about 310g strung and 32,6cm. No idea about swingweight, it feels like 310kgcm2. At these specs the rackets fits my style of play perfectly, I...

Wilson Hits Homerun with Wilson Steam 99S (mini review)

Or take the 99LS and lead up... I've mines at 295g-32,6cm-315kg/cm2 and they work pretty well

Wilson Hits Homerun with Wilson Steam 99S (mini review)

I played the Steam 99s 18 months ago and found the Solinco tour bite works the best in therms of control and spin. Durability was average, and the only complaint was comfort, this is a stiff string in a already stiff racquet. Now I'm testing the Wilson Steam 99LS and find the TB perfect in...

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

This is the beauty of this racket, accessible power only when you want, access to hit winners only when you go for them, and plenty of control when you only want to put the ball in at defensive/bad positioned situations

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

I don't try it, but I think it wouldn't have any benefits, apart from stability. The Ai98 is already pretty head lite, mines are 32,2cm strung (31,2cm unstrung)

Volkl Power Bridge 10 mid question

When you are well positioned pb10mid is certainly more powerful than APD, because it has more mass concentred in the hoop and the very HL and well designed balance allows for a quickly swing, so the result is a powerful yet control maintained shot. I actually hit more winners with the pb10mid...

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

For that I've read in this thread the common setup at 3&9 works well, without loosing manoeuvrability. I also think Ai is a bit unstable, that its most evident at volleys, but I don't want to lead it up because I don't want to loose a piece of racquet speed

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

The more I play with this racket the more I get from it. I think it is one of the racket that I played (and I have played a lot) that requires most time to acclimatize. I would like to mention specially the serve department. Initially, the serve was actually the worst part of the racket for me...

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

Yep, this racquet has a lot of flex there, which takes away a lot of power from the frame. Initially I didn't like it, but now I'm loving the great dwell time to slices, kick serves and touch/stop volleys

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

Sorry, it's a language issue, I wanted to describe a too elastic/soft string bed, with too trampoline effect

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

I've tried also tour bite in one of my Ai 98 at 20kg and it felt great, probably a bit too much "blend" at impact, but the great feeling and control are still there.

    Any experience with Discho?

I've also tried black iontec in both 125 and 120 gauges. Liked it better 125. Good blend of feel, comfort, power and durability, definitely a must demo
