I have recently been pleasantly suprised by the KSwiss Tubes 100. I didn't want to like them, because they look like a little kid "light up" shoe...but I tried them on anyway. They don't look bad on, and they were quite comfortable. After a few matches, they even feel better. I'm very happy...

I dont get that feeling from them, but I suppose everyone is different, you'd have to try them. If you look at the bottom view of the shoe, you can see they are slightly wider on the bottom than most shoes near the ball of the foot. The RS only though...the DS arent as cushioned, and I didnt...

Fit depends on the shoe. Defier RS's have a snug fit, and a lot of cushioning. Very stable. The new Tubes 100 are not as cushioned but still not bad, slightly more roomy, and are still nice and stable. The Big Shots have a similar feel to the Tubes, but are more roomy in the toebox, too...

KSwiss Defier RS. I am prone to ankle pain. the RS's have good cushioning.

Why don't you not hit at the woman, but put the ball in the open court? You don't need to aim for someone.

3.5's here are obsessed with ratings. "oh, shes only a THREE-OH", "I'm on a FOUR-OH team", "Did Bill get Bumped Up to FOUR-OH?", "I don't play Jimmy on my THREE-FIVE team, he's only a THREE-OH". "I'm on an EIGHT-OH mixed doubles team". 4.0's don't seem to be vocally obsessed with ratings.

An early start rating isn't your year end rating. It is based solely on the "dynamic" portion of your rating, and your year-end rating can be different than your early start rating. The Early Start rating is just supposed to give you an idea of what level you should play in for the fall...

practice something when you play him. maybe hit all backhands, running around every forehand (good exercise) maybe hit all balls on the rise? maybe hit only one handed backhands.... whats something you want to work on?

Just split the team. You are doing it so everyone gets more playing time, so its not insulting anyone, you would be doing a good thing.

Thats what the USTA does now. Your "dynamic" rating is calculated depending on your latest match results. The only thing is you don't get to know exactly what it is. At the end of the year, the computer assigns you a rating which is the average of your "dynamic" rating, and how you have done...

I like it! very clever. Like naming a band "Free Beer" to get people to show up.
