    The Fed babies..awwwwwww...

That's why Federer is the true GOAT! Can you imagine Nadal playing at this level if he had two small bullfighters running around in the house? Running around in the house screaming VAMOS and moving their hips provocatively. And taking MTO:s everytime papa Rafa wants them to eat or sleep.

    Are tennis players underpaid?

Good post. It all boils down to sponsors and public interest in the end as you say. It still seems to me that the competition in tennis is extremely tough, even if you count in the factors that you mention, just a feeling though I'm not 100% sure.

Players that has reached full potential?

You definately have some valid points, definately raise some pretty good questions, what constitutes a player's potential, coordination, mental toughness, athleticism and so on? I definately agree with you that the debate whether a player has underachieved or not is often a bit too simplistic...

Is ferrer the best early striker in today's game?

No he's not. Djokovic takes the ball as early if not earlier.

    Are tennis players underpaid?

I think the reward/effort ratio is very low in tennis, which means if you count different factors the payment is pretty low in tennis. Just compare to soccer, golf or ice hockey where a lot more players in can make a decent living off the sport. Tennis is and always will be a sport for...

    Why is no one surprised/bothered

Not a surprise really, tennis doesn't have the same status in the US anymore. Plus the most talented young athletes choose other sports. Plus u guys are getting way too fat for tennis (lol).

Players that has reached full potential?

Thanks for all of your input guys. Naa don't push it ;). You have a case but I can't put a guy who under-achieved during his prime decade on the list. Connors definately a contender don't know much about him though, Don't agree on Murray always underperforrming in big finals and gets in his...

    Federer movie

Why don't you do a movie about Andy Murray instead? It would be a real tragedy. People would leave the theatres sobbing "Ohhh my God he must have suffered so badly I can't imagine how someone could endure that much pain" In the final scene we see an old Murray - working as a bartender in...

Players that has reached full potential?

Hi, I just recently saw a thread about players that are talented, but hasn't really come to their full potential. Thought it would be interesting to discuss players that have actually lived up to their potental to a greater extent. I searched but I couldn't find any threads on this topic...

    Djokovic suffers left knee injury...

The reason he still went to Halmstad for the DC-match was in case Soderling would've played. Since Soderling didn't show up for the DC-meeting all what was left for Sweden was two players ranked below 300 in the world. I'm convinced that Djokovic would have played, given Soderling would have...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

I agree with you, it's getting more clear to me now that he probably also has some personal motives for what he's doing. Yes you are right about the Queens match, it was the year after the Soderling-Nadal match in Wimbledon and the year after Bjorkman said a lot of players on the tour...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

Absolutely, good point. I think their relationship definately is a key factor. A little side note: Soderling is not nearly as popular as you might think in Sweden. Sure people want him to win big matches since he's an ambassadeur of Swedish tennis but I believe he's not popular at all in...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

Nice post, agree with u completely on the feminist part ;) Actually I was a bit surprised too since he's still involved in tennis to a great extent as tournament director for two ATP tournaments. He clearly has some strong opinions about Nadal nevertheless and likes to let the world know about...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

No Bjorkman has never coached Soderling, actually their relationship has been pretty frosty over the years, as has Soderling's relationship to other Swedish players. I think it all changed when Norman became Soderling's coach. Maybe you're confusing Norman and Bjorkman. Definately agree with...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

Lol thank you for the warning, to be honest I wanted Murray to win as well, too bad he doesn't live up to his potential, especially in big games against Nadal. Soderling I dislike pretty much, knowing him since my time as a junior. I've heard many of the other Swedish players used to dislike...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

Thank you for some great replies. Lol great link...It's almost as bad as when Magnus Norman screemed "f*ing monkey, r*trd idiot to Nicolas Massu of chile in Swedish during a roland garros match" There's an extremely strong public support in favour of Federer among Swedish commentators...

    Jonas Bjorkman commentating Nadal

Hi guys, my first post here, been reading posts on the forum for a while though. Not supporting any particular player like most people here but extremely interested in tennis. Let's get to the point then. Watching the semi-finals in Wimbledon between Nadal-Murray, the expert commentator on...
