Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

Hey man... I've strung 50 or 60 frames with my Ennox. No issues. Call Kevin & have him send you another one. For me personally, I set out to build a professional machine I could easily break down take mobile. What I ended up with is a highly accurate, Pro Shop quality machine that may be my...

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

These are the final mod's, I think. The white Ennox is growing on me. My intention here was to build a machine that is light weight and easily transported. I can break this rig down and in the back seat of my truck in about 3 min. I am, without question biased here, but this is literally the...

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

Yep, I know all about painting plastic. I'd have it done professionally. I know my limitations. If I do have it painted, it'll be the same color as the base, that used to be Gamma Blue. This build is seriously the smoothest, most simplistic machine I've strung on. Reminds me of the Star 4. A...

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

I emailed tennisman to see if they had a used black case hanging around they wanted to sell me & they said they only sold new machines

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

What is the message here? Black would fit my mobile machine build color scheme better than white, in my personal opinion. THAT'S the reason.

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

The slide switch. I didn't use it until I thought about it. I think it's gimmicky..... I mean, your hand is already there by default. Honestly, I think a foot switch would be most advantageous

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

I suck at posting pix here. I strung 2 frames after I assembled this. It's a Star 4 reincarnated. It's smooth as silk. I need suggestions now. -Do I leave the case white or get it painted black, or have it painted the base color? The bottom 3rd on this rig is black. -Do I leave the aluminum...

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

My Ennox will be here in a couple days. I'll be retro fitting it to a Gamma X-ELS base. This machine build is a bitchin little unit. It has a Gamma 6004 table, down press clamp base. and currently a Wise, to be replaced with the Ennox. My biggest concern is getting the case painted black.

Tourna Ennox - Electronic Tension Head

I am as well. I'll will most likely get an Ennox. It will be bolted to a Gamma blue X-Stringer base. I'm not concerned in the least about fastening patterns. I'll post pix whenever the Ennox is available.

    Stringmaster Deluxe with Wise

What is the benefit of using this gripper/diablo set-up? I just mounted one to a gamma 6004 frankinbuild and, other than the gripper jaws and the diablo being at a slight angle, I see no real benefit, especially when I have to move my table too far above the tensioner for my liking. The diablo...

    Buy or not?

Personally, I'd do my best to talk them down a couple hundred and prepare yourself for the electronics going out. When the tensioner does go out, rip it off the machine and slap a Wise on it. Throw down-press CB's on it and shazam.......quality rig for about 2k

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

I've found if the towers are about a half inch from all the way back, (I use the flathead screws that hold the mounting plate to the table as a gauge) will accommodate more than 90% of the racquets I string. And if you have to move the towers, without the mod I did, it might take a minute to...

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

Lol.... Truthfully, that was one of the reasons I sold my Star 5. I live about 8 miles away from Babolat North America. A couple years before I sold it I took it down to Babolat and we put new pads underneath the clamp bases. Dude told me at the time he was seeing a lot of the Sensor and Star 5...

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

Disingenuous? It is man.... I've strung on a Baiardo, Baiardo L, a prince machine, a Sensor and owned a Star 5. The table, towers and CB's come from the same Factory an the Baiardo. Incidentally, the towers have articulate arms, meaning 1 knob moves both arms.

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

I get it. Seriously though, the tower thing isn't that big an issue. At the time, the ghost was over a $1000 more than I paid AND didn't have DP clamp bases. Knowing what I know now, I never would have made the purchase. The rig that may very well be my go to and forever machine is my Gamma 6004...

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

I own a Star 5 for about 15 years. I was really bummed when my wrist started swelling up and being adversely affected by the twist action clamp bases. It got to where I could only string about 4 or 5 frames before I had to stop. Needless to say, I was pretty bummed when I sold it. Weaving...

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

OK..... I didn't post this for stringers to give reasons NOT to purchase the 700, or how much better their purchase was compared to mine. I purchased this machine for one reason, and one reason only; downpress clamp bases (I've explained why before) .......AND at the time, the ghost was more the...

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

Nope, I didn't. He knows how I feel about it. I just stumbled across the fix actually. I tore the table apart cuz that's what I do, and noticed it and dealt with it. I seriously think those Towers were designed to have a front glide piece, but dude zigged when he should have zagged and that...

    Tourna 700-ES hacks & mods

Lol.... possibly. It looks like what happened is, during Manufacturing somebody had a three Martini lunch and was slightly off when they drilled the front hole for the "slide guide". As I mentioned, it really wasn't that big a deal but I get off on building machines and working on them. I've...
