Did you ever get bored with tennis?

Are there any leagues you could join? League players tend to talk less smack than random players that just show up... and in league, you'd be playing against people your same level.

Do you have a service ritual?

Ha ha! Well... at least you are consistent :-D I have a feeling you're a better server than that though. :)

Do you have a service ritual?

I'd love to be that confident with my serve!

Do you have a service ritual?

Having a service ritual or routine gives you a little "me-time" to find your focus before serving each point. Mine: I bounce the ball 3 times before every serve, first or second, and if I accidentally drop the ball or catch it awkwardly on one of the bounces, or if I have to catch a bad toss, I...

    Net clearance

Yep... that's my site. TLM offers recreational and league players useful information and tips that not only can help their game, but also many other aspects of their lives as it pertains to non-pro players, thus the name "Tennis Life". The other magazine had mostly information about the pros...

We are not that publication, which appears to no longer be available in the US. We're a small, online-only publication for recreational and league tennis players.

    Superfeet durability for tennis?

Even the insoles you use/used don't seem to work for long, and those companies have all sorts of details and claims... I was just trying to help.

    Superfeet durability for tennis?

I guess I'm not as hard to please, though I do prefer customer reviews and ratings over a company's own claims. I checked this company out prior to posting my suggestion and agree that their website is lacking in the details department, however the style my teammate uses has a 4.5+ rating from...

    Superfeet durability for tennis?

One of my teammates has fallen arches and swears by the Stride Insoles from Tread Labs. You simply answer some questions about your feet, and then they recommend one of their insoles. They are kind of expensive, but they don't collapse, and have a lifetime warranty.

After 2 years i finally won...

Oh, wow! I just commented on your video in another post... well done! You've come a very long way in just 3 years of playing. Keep posting your progress... your determination and hard work is very inspiring! :)

How Many Racquets Do You Bring To A Match And Are They Identical?

I'm mostly a doubles player, and carry 3 identical racquets in my bag at all times, though 2 have white overgrips (for doubles), while the other has a black overgrip (for singles). The two racquets I use for doubles are also strung the same, so if I break a string mid-match, I have an identical...

    Point construction!!

Hi there :) There's a lot that goes into constructing a point, but before anything, you need to size up your opponent during the warm up. Assess their strengths and weakness, and then really exploit those weaknesses during the match. You definitely don't want to keep hitting the ball right back...

    Who should bring balls?

If you play with the same group on a regular basis, you should take turns providing balls. :)(y)

    Playing Doubles Below Your Level

Hi @Cashman :) What level are you playing, and what level do you think you should be playing? From how you describe, "badly underranked" means well below your skill level and not like a 3.5 playing at 3.0 or 4.0 playing 3.5, but more like a 4.0 playing 3.0, or a 4.5 playing 3.5? If the latter...

A 38-year old player is the world no 3. Weak era?

I'm guessing the "weak era" reference is for another poster, but I do agree that Agassi was indeed a force to be reckoned with. Had he not been plagued with severe back problems, I'm pretty confident he could have stayed at the top longer.

A 38-year old player is the world no 3. Weak era?

I don't think this is necessarily a weak men's era, it's just that at the ripe young age of 38, Federer is still a huge force to be reckoned with. Federer's physical conditioning and mad tennis skills aside, there's much to say about his mental game. Most players aspire to be No. 1 and/or the...

    Pick a team

For someone playing up for the first time, I recommend signing up for the second team. If the first team is vying for district and sectionals and they've got a deep roster, you might not even play at all this season if you are one of the weakest players. Teams on a mission like that will...
