I'm aware they exist and perhaps I should have been clearer in my post. The EZone 100 is the quintessential Tweener frame. Easy power, well suited to a wide range of skill levels and swing types. It's also a great platform for players who want to adjust as they develop. So, I guess where I...
The classic racquet itch has struck me again. Since I'm now firmly in the gut/poly camp, I have to go back and retry some classics with my trusty gut/HR setup. An MIA PC600 is currently at the top of my acquisitions list. Probably gonna have to get a PS85 as well. Who knows what other racquets...
If I'm being honest, I'm a bit perplexed by this 100T racquet. I've always held a view of 100 head size racquets as a starting point or platform frame. They're a good playable frame in stock form but can be easily modified without things getting crazy if the player wants to.
Are there really...
Glad you're enjoying it!
Tour Status is definitely at the top of my list for mains in a poly setup. For the most part, I've enjoyed all of the Tru Pro strings that I've tried.
Preach!
It's a god-tier setup. I have about a reel's worth of sets and have now used it in a variety of frames: BP16, K90, VC89, n6.1 95, Prestige Tour, etc. It kills in everything.
I'm still waiting for it to be announced. Luckily, my supply of HR is still good.
I still don't understand why Head discontinued a string as good as HR. I don't care if sales weren't so great that string should never have left the market.
I'm telling ya, there is something magical about the BP in that spec range. So easy to use but you can absolutely clobber the ball still. I've been trying to find some with similar specs in the V9 PJ but haven't had much luck.
And to be fair, we've all been there and bought the wrong racquet for the wrong reasons. I remember having an APD that was terrible for how I played and my skill level but I loved Rafa and was determined to use it. It never worked out for me.
The flatter hitting and the 1HBH are big echoes of...
As a practical old fart of TTW and a coach myself, I'm gonna suggest you perhaps invest in some instruction to improve your technique rather than a new racquet.
Just from what I can extrapolate from your post, it gives the impression that you might be a beginner to intermediate level player...
I think they've tried to revamp the Ultra. Have they found the right formula? No. It could be a lot better than what it is. I doubt they will scrap it though.
I don't know why they insist on keeping the Burn around. Truly a garbage line. And I can't find a redeeming quality in the Shift line...
