New Head Radical MP - 2021

I loved the Microgel but the 18x20 makes it harder for me to hit with a lot of spin. I was able to do it 15 years ago but my swing speed has slowed. I screwed up and bought a used XT MPA last year to try thinking it was just the XT from the following year. The MPA is stiffer, but i forgot...

New Head Radical MP - 2021

Anybody gotten a hold of a demo yet and hit it? Specs look the same as the Graphene Touch MP but with an extra .2 ounces. I had the Touch but went to the Gravity MP due to the lower flex but I prefer 98 to 100 head size. The Gravity is great on my arm but the head shape and size can create a...

    Stiffest Racquets

I recall Yamaha being sued by Wilson and leaving the US market due to violating the patent Wilson had on the stiffness of the Profile 2.7. The Profile, i believe, was the stiffest and somehow Wilson patented the process to make a racquet that stiff. The 04 matched or exceeded it and Wilson...

    Head Gravity vs Radical

I think you will like it. I played the old Ti Radical MP and thought it was the best overall racquet. Moved to the LM MP and then to the Flexpoint MP before taking 10 years off from tennis. 4.5 player, serve and volley, mostly doubles toward the end...and now. I came back to tennis a couple...

HEAD GRAVITY SPECS AND RELEASE DATE

I'd like hear how you doctor up the MP. I've got it now but need a little more on the serve and mid court volleys when my slow ass gets caught in the middle of the court. The Pro is too heavy, but i love the MP. Just need to fine tune it a little for my game.

HEAD GRAVITY SPECS AND RELEASE DATE

I played with the MP last night. Strung it with NXT 17g at 54lbs. I'm a long time Radical MP player since the Ti Radical and am playing last years version of the Radical; which is just ok. The new Radical is super stiff and I can't play with it. I'm USTA 4.5, mostly doubles, long fast swing...

    New Radical 360

Demos are filtering into stores now. I'm being told that RDC stiffness is 68 for the MP. Thought they were going to be softer. Has anybody been able to test this yet? I read through the earlier post and didn't see any references to actual RA stiffness.

    Grandpa Federer against top-10

Too bad Fed couldn't play against the greatest all-court player to ever play the game in his prime; Pete Sampras. My money would be on Pete but the skill level would have been unparalleled. Sampras seemed to lack the "win every match" mentality of Federer but when he was matched up against his...

Tips for my groundstrokes, especially backhand.

So, you look great for 1 year in. For what it's worth, in regard to dealing with heavy top spin, I would say to attack the ball. You either play the ball or the ball plays you. I'd rather attack, catch the heavy top spin ball early and put the pressure back on the opponent. It looks like...

    Head Radical Progression

I must have missed the IG Radical completely during my long walk in the woods away from tennis. I'll check it out. Thanks.

    Head Radical Progression

Thanks for the info. TW lists the stiffness for it around 63; which I thought was high for the MG. Now I know why.

    Head Radical Progression

Thanks, i'll check it out and see if they have some old ones that are still new for sale on there. I didn't think to look assuming they were too old to still be around.

    Head Radical Progression

I'm rated 4.5 but left tennis for about 8 years. I went from the Head Elite Pro to the Ti Radical (loved it), LM Radical (too muted), and finally the flexpoint (liked it). I briefly started playing again a few years ago and found the new graphene radicals too stiff. I promptly hurt my wrist...
