My star 4 also started to stall during stringing a racket recently. I replaced the micro switch and the relay block. But it still stalls. I thought it was the motor as well, I got a two way 12V DC wiper blade motor from the auction side for $15. While I was about to replace the motor, the...

upgrade to clamp base that has release button?

The gravity release clamp is definitely nice, but expensive. and you have to make sure the new clamp base fits your rail slot (slot width and plate thickness). Also, the gravity base is bigger as you can see from my machine. The clamp will sit taller than the old base due to the bigger base and...

    Babolat 2501 e problem

For 2501e, 2502e (star 4), there are two position switches under both ends of the pulling chain, take the cover off, Check all the connections, then turn the power on, push the front position switch, the tension head should move backward, vice versa. If not moving, something may be wrong with...

String advice for the Ai 98?

Nothing tricky to remove the stock grip, the end was stapled to the butt cap. You can use a nose pliers to pull it out carefully if you want to reuse it. I have a staple gun, so I just re-staple it.

To show your stringing tool kit

Irvin is correct! Pry bar works only if you can get it under the string without damaging it. The blunt needle works for all conditions. The only thing is that you have to pay attention to the needle orientation, the needle needs to point to the string coming direction.
