The Pure Drive is giving me problems. I just string one piece, alternating the mains and start the crosses at the throat. This is the same way that my local pro shop does it.

Why would they string the mains and crosses at different tensions if I did not ask them to?

I know that is the way to string hybrids but i did not order a hybrid and the stringbed feels stiff as a board. I have another pd with a single set string at the same tension and it feels much better.
