    Wilson ultra v5 Thread

I hit with the 99sq. in 16x18 (I think?) Ultra yesterday and it felt awesome. It looks like a completely new mold, boxy-ish beam, thinner than the v4 ultra but thicker than the ultra pro (33mm?). A quick look at the specs on the gram showed 305g, 32.5cm bal. It has a bright galactic purple/blue...

Hyper G 1.20 vs Tour Bite Soft 1.20 on Wilson Blade Pro V9 18x20?

I use the blade pro 18x20 and I've used both tour bite and tour bite soft 1.20. I like them both just fine. My main string right now is hyper g round 1.20, but I would use alu power as a main if the price was lower. If I was you, I'd give the hyper-g hybrid 1.20 a try with the shaped main and...

Skupski/Koolhof Racquets: Prestige 360+, Yes, But which Frames

what would the estimated strung balances be? My guess is 31.8cm for Koolhof and 32.7cm for Skupski Koolhof has the most ridiculous reaction volleys, I can only assume he rocks a very headlight balance

Blade v9 vs Blade Pro 18x20 vs RF 01 Pro

The blade pro is a fantastic racquet at net, it just comes stock a little too head heavy to be maneuverable. And that is less of a problem from the baseline, so I think that is where the reputation comes from. If you can solve to the balance, there is nothing else holding it back from dominating...

Wilson Pro Labs: Blade Pro Official Thread

You could try silver 7 tour. Lots of feedback and I think it’s more powerful than regular TB. It’s a 1.25 17g string but it plays more like 1.20 and is quite light so brings the swing weight down and bit if that’s a good thing for you. And it plays great until it breaks

Wilson Pro Labs: Blade Pro Official Thread

Any string on the slightly stiffer side seems to work well in this frame. For me, it’s tour bite, S7T, or even hyper g round. But the blade pro really isn’t that string sensitive. Put your favorite poly in and enjoy. One part of the set up I find important is a tad of handle weight, but I don’t...

Silver 7 Tour break in period

I string in the 40s. For me, it’s not about tension and needing to break-in in a traditional sense like with confidential. It’s the string movement at the beginning. I think S7T needs to slightly notch before its true qualities kick in. Then it plays consistently until it breaks, which I love. I...

Silver 7 Tour break in period

I’m really enjoying tourna big hitter silver 7 tour. However, I’m struggling with the break in period. I’m not sure if it is the first hour or if it needs a hit and then to sit overnight, but fresh off the stringer I don’t like it. The strings are shifting around and balls are spraying. No...

How long for the Speed 98 18x19

I was in the same boat. Speed pro user that would have loved a 98, 18x19. I hate to break it to you but it’s not going to happen. But you can find something on the market currently that gets close. Go demo the blade pro 18x20. The speed pro used to be 22mm and that’s what the blade pro has and...

Round version of tour bite soft with good feel?

I get what you mean but it’s the same story with hyper-g’s sharp edges and I think HGR is a fantastic release. I like it better than HG. If I’m looking for a more crisp HGR at the same price or lower, then Tour Bite Round would be a nice option to have. Alu and Alu soft are the best options...

    Wilson Blade Pro 98 16x19 V9

Did you do any customization? What balance do you like on this frame? With just an overgrip, the BP balance comes in above 33 cm strung. Talk tennis loves their headlight frames (always tailweighting sticks to 8-12 pts HL), but there is nothing wrong with a higher balance and lower headlight...

Round version of tour bite soft with good feel?

Hyper g round is honestly a good shout. The feel is more dampened and less crisp than alu and TB but the playability is much more well rounded than reg HG. The launch is consistent (unlike HG), it has good power, controlled, and I think the spin is better than alu. Downside is a little bit of...

    Wilson Blade Pro 98 16x19 V9

I bought the 18x20 I recently demoed the BP v9 16x19 and 18x20. I am a long time blade user through the generations, but I have never used a blade pro (no v7 or v8) until recently. I was blown away by the feel. Pure graphite goodness that to me felt like an enlarged sweet spot. I liked both...

    Head Auxetic Radical

Help identifying Head Radical MP model/year

Can anyone help me ID this racquet? This racquet was ordered from a former pro and is likely a pro stock. The throat only says radical, not radical mp, and there are no specs listed on the frame. There is a sticker on the inside of the throat with numbers. I do not believe it is a 2023 radical...

    Solinco Tour Byte Round (2024)

    Your Speed MP Specs/Setup

I love the speed MP at this spec, which makes it a little more polarized. It’s a little more user friendly than the Sinner spec, but has a similar whip and swing path. Requires most of the lead at 12. I do 4 1/4 grip with two overgrips for extra handle weight. Static: 332g Balance: 32.3cm - 6...
