    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

Sorry just remembered that I have stopped considering PCP because it had poor ankle collar support (heel does not stay locked in the shoe). I thought it was just me but I have read TW review of PCP and they have said exactly the same. Shame the shoe did feel very comfortable. I don't...

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

Unfortunately I cannot recall if there was any difference in heel height between the two. If there was a difference I think it was marginal. I have got to say that I really liked the lateral stability of PCP based on shoe shape. I could see myself playing in them. But I am still undecided really...

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

Just wanted to add that I have tried both PCP and PCD in a shop. Out of the two I like PCP more. PCD seemed to have a flimsy construction that I could destroy really quickly. PCP on other hand looked more solid and I could also actually feel the cushion unlike with with PCD. Overall I felt...

I was just thinking..Isn't the heel height of PCP greater than of Lotto raptor? Since you stated that part of the problem with raptors was high heel design. Unless of course PCP just gives you much better cushioning. In TW review of raptor 4 it was mentioned that Lotto has got "crisp"...

Shoe size: actual foot length vs extra thumb width

Interesting. Having checked my feet I think I have got arch type no.2 the so called lateral longitudinal arch. I was hoping to get Lotto Raptor 4 or Wilson Rush Pro.

Shoe size: actual foot length vs extra thumb width

Yes but if we take rule of thumb into account then the difference of 15mm means 1.5 size up instead of 0.5 size! So is there any ground behind rule of thumb?

Shoe size: actual foot length vs extra thumb width

Hi, I never bothered too much with shoe sizes before and wore 8UK/9US. Having stumbled on the shoe size charts I realised that 8UK/9US might not be appropriate. Personally I did not have any problems, felt comfortable, no blisters etc. My foot measures about 250mm or roughly 10" in length...

On the other hand, I think I understand that performance might be so good that potential problem of injury if you play quite often could be ignored more or less. Well, I have a wilson 6.2 hammer racquet and I think people said that there's high risk of elbow problems due to lots of weight in the...

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

Yes but the point also was that Lotto was firm at the heel (poor cushioning?). I've done a quick search on the lotto giving knee pain. Surprisingly I did find more people with this problem...

    asics gel resolution alternative?

Nope, apparently not. Yonex cushion durable does though. See Yonex PCP VS Yonex PCD thread

    Yonex PCP VS Yonex PCD

Yonex shoes for dummies :) Thanks that's a good way to differentiate them.

    asics gel resolution alternative?

Asics and yonex are both japanese makes, right? I remember getting asics in mid noughties and they did not impress me as the ones i had in 90s..sorry don't remember exact models..I just remember that the shoe went from very durable with good performance to some mediocre level for me. Have...

    Yonex PCP VS Yonex PCD

Based on this PCD seems better than PCP, yet the latter was voted best shoe by some tennis magazine or something. So where's the logic?

Is this power cushion pro yonex you are talking about? I am also considering wilson rush pro since it is low to the ground (although some say that they would have preferred more cushioning and some say that too much cushioning is bad for performance etc..)

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

That's very interesting point actually. I think my knee pain has developed through high platform safety shoes. I even went to physio and been told it's likely to be due to bad shoes... Your point actually even further put me off buying lottos (even though it seems people go nuts about...

I thought flexibility was bad, I mean for stabilit. And hence why I got confused with rush pro.

    Yonex Power Cushion Lite!

The arch support in particular felt weird to me. It was so pronounced unlike in any other shoes I have tried before I think.

I think I have been advised to get kswiss BSII in a shop once. Unfortunately the way my feet felt in shoes was my only judgement. And I said no to most top shoes straight away even kswiss BSII. But I might have to go back to try all of them again. The only good first impressions I had were...

Purely based on the poll, it looks like Asics gel solution speed should be avoided. In one thread however people say that it is very good for clay.

    Clay court shoes

Is yonex sht pro and yonex power cushion pro the same thing? I think I have tried one yonex shoe in a shop. I am not 100% sure but I think that was Yonex. It felt weird at the bridge of the foot - sort of enforcing extreme medial arch. Is this common with yonex? Has anyone felt this?

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

I originally decided for myself that no I won't get them. But then I started thinking: some really knowledgeable guys advised me to get this and there are tons of appraisal reviews, so maybe there is something I am missing. But yes, having less feel for the ground gets me down with lotto raptor.

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

Ok so it's not just me. I still do not see how adapting to the shoe is good. I think I already have been to two shops to see if I would still have that feeling. And yes second time around I still felt awkward.

    Nobody ever talks about LOTTO

I am looking for new shoes and been advised to get Lotto Raptor 4. When trying them in a shop I felt uncomfortable with toe part being so raised off the ground. I felt like I had less ground support and this was unnatural to me. I was explained that this is to encourage players to stand on tip...

    Asics Gel Solution Speed 2

I want to do one more, sorry. OK!!!!!!!! How did they perform though? I remember the time..somewhere in 90s..when I had my first proper tennis shoes from Asics..and I thought I had the best ones..

    Wilson shoes

Barricades..ok..maybe I should try them on again... But what would you say about Lotto Raptor 4?? They have been highly appraised. To me the toe of the shoe felt weird like I do not have enough support when stationary (implying only that it could feel great if constantly on the run).

    Wilson shoes

I have read in other thread I think that any good shoes cost 100$. In Uk that will be about 60 pounds. For that kind of money you would likely buy cheap shoes. The good ones go usually for 100 pounds or more which is about 170$. On sale they usually knock 15 pounds off making the sale price...

    Wilson shoes

Ok I can see the logic behind Rush Pro design. Off topic maybe... Could anyone validate raised toe part of Lotto Raptor 4? Apparently it is to encourage players to stand on tip toes. But I'm thinking the encouragement should not be in place (i.e. players should force themselves to do so)...
