Only answer if you are neutral fan

If I were teaching someone to play tennis you would teach them like Novak plays. If I were to teach someone how to be an ambassador to the sport I would teach them to be like Roger and Rafa. Novaks B game is better than almost every player, and we shouldnt forget he played Sinner and Alcaraz...

I dislike Novak as a person but marvel at his game. I think he has more than a shot to win the tournament

best options for 12 years old and a half girl

All depends on her level! Not that this was the question I wouldnt let a pro talk her into using a polyester string at this age.

Been playing Dunlop for a few years now. Use the CX 200. Weight added at 9 and 3 as well as a leather grip. Playing at 12ozs the racquet is just perfect.

is an 11 UTR really a 4.5 NTRP?

Oddly enough reading this I think UTR is proving the point that they arent geographically influenced at all while NTRP can definitely fluctuate based on where you live. Example I am a 4.0C NTRP with a UTR mid to high 6s. For the Philadelphia section that puts me as a higher ish 4.0. I went down...

    Rick Neher Medium Article

Great article, to further prove the point of how much money the USTA makes from events like this. When I ran Junior L6ish level tournaments. I would make sure there was a backdraw so every player would get 3 matches minimum, this way the parents who were traveling a few hours would get the full...

    Dunlop racquets experiences

Play with the CX200 with some added weight, honestly the CX lines have been great. Its just name recognition honestly that holds them back because its not "cool" to play with a Dunlop. To emphasize my point playtesters complained about the prior generation having a tighter stringbed in the...

Famous people playing adult leagues or tournaments?

Have a friend in the DC area who when Nash was coaching the Nets would have his manager set up "hits/lessons" with the better players/coaches in the area. Hit with him Center Court at Rock Creek Park and we had beers after. Great guy.

    Tri Level Kudos

Sometimes you dont have time to play for two teams. No league is perfect but having a quick hitting league that guarantees for the most part good matches is a lot of fun

    What is the correct call?

Had this exact situation happen in a match with a different outcome. Opponent hit a serve my partner returned it, we both thought it was good and the return went for a winner. The opponent who served claimed his serve was long, we said no. Because we are friendly (I know a mistake) we agreed to...

    Tri Level Kudos

Wanted to see everyones opinion on this. Played tri level for the first time this year and have to say its the most fun I have had in USTA Tennis. If you tend to be a player who is higher ranked for your rating Tri Level makes the matches a lot more competitive. You get every teams best players...

    Dunlop CX 200 - what a gem!

Just to be clear I didnt move directly from the Biomimetics to the CX 200, I went down the CX line year after year. Out of all the Dunlops I hit, I thought these were two of the better ones the Biomemetic and the current line. Yes the current line is a touch stiffer but I tend to string it in...

    Dunlop CX 200 - what a gem!

Just wanted to bring this thread alive again. Switched from the prior version to the new CX200 (98). Demod Yonexs VCore, Percept, Wilson Ultra Tour, and Prince Tour 98. This is becoming my favorite racquet since my Biomemetic. Adding a leather grip and 3 grams at 9&3 made this stick perfect and...

    Rules question.

Fun scenario if and only if your opponent didnt try to argue that it was their point. I couldnt imagine trying to get the point after looking at the footprint

Djokovic had 10,590 ranking points at age 21. Alcaraz currently has 7,950 points.

Alcaraz is a great player and as tennis has shown time and time again, a new young player will come up and challenge alcaraz and sinner. Nobody saw Nadal and djokovic coming up to be as great if not greater than fed but they did. Every generation has the next guy that comes up and challenges the...

Possibly the 4GS is why people say that, and the winning percentage. My point is Alcaraz is a great player, is he as great or will be as great as Novak I dont think so. Its enjoyable to watch and instead of getting in a pointless argument where one stat is picked to prove a point, enjoy the tennis.

Also whats the point of this, wow Carlos isnt as good as maybe the best that has ever done it? Hes still an incredible player who makes the game fun to watch

    Wilson x RF Aug 8, 2024

Just an observation. Would love to see a playtest where they blacked out every racquet in a spec range and determined which one they liked the best. Obviously you would have to eliminate Yonex as the headshape is a dead giveaway but it would be fun

    Wilson x RF Aug 8, 2024

Its so funny how brand recognition affects the playtest. A number of comments on the prior Dunlop CX complained about the denser string pattern in the middle of the sweet spot. Playtesters griped about it etc. Yet the new Wilson comes out with it and now all the sudden it creates more precision...

Shoes Similar to Fresh Foam Lav Gen 1

Never understood why they changed these shoes so much after the V1s. Im a bigger guy who moves around well, and never has a shoe felt better on my feet, relatively fast, and provided comfort like these.

Lowest powered racket you can play with competitively?

For newer sticks the Dunlop CX line is great. Add a leather grip and a little lead in the hoop would be my recommendation

    Dunlop CX 2024 line

Dont have the swingweight numbers yet but weight and balance were correct, so swingweight shouldnt deviate a ton. Weight was 303 and 305 grams unstrung.

What’s a little tactic / thing you use to gain a slight advantage?

Every match I play I hear at least once from my partner, "Hit it to their backhand." Dont know who told that to every tennis player but it does drive me up a wall.

    Dunlop CX 2024 line

Wanted to bring this up to those who were saying the specs were not correct or within range. Just received two CX 200 racquets both were weighted within 2 grams and were within 2mm of balance. Couldnt be any happier with how they turned out

Famous people playing adult leagues or tournaments?

Not sure if this was posted in here. But Rainn Wilson famously from the Office stated that he was a "very good tennis player." Said he plays in 4.0 leagues in California. Looks like he is a solid 3.5 but that would be cool to show up to a 3.5 match with Rainn as your partner
