    The Federer.......

I think Federer's really worked his ass off this offseason after he realized he could lose his #1 spot. I wouldn't be surprised if he took over again.

    Age Champ Question

I'm going to be playing 16's in my first ZAT, and my friend is playing 18's. If we were to play doubles, I know I would have to play the higher ages, and let's say we win it and champ up. Would I have to play 18's Champs Singles or would I be able to play 16's?

Official Thread Of The Texas Junior Section!

Surprised I'm the first from San Antonio ZAT Level, although I've never played a ZAT. Fairly confident I could compete at the high champs, though. Got to the semis in my district tournament. I play for Stevens HS.

I can fly!! I can see the BALL!!!

Probably very good technique for returning slice or flat serves, but a kicker may surprise you a few times, and those you should keep grounded on.

Tips on a better pinpoint stance serve

I tried rotating my left foot a little bit after I got defaulted from a match for too many footfaults(Long story...) Seemed to work pretty well, and I've fixed it without trying.

What was the Federer shirt called?

I can't remember what year he wore it in, but it was the red one with the black sleeve. Anyone know what this is called, and if it's possible to get a hold of one? I found a few pictures.

    San Antonio (Northwest)

The indoor courts at TOTC are great! But yes, it is very hard to get an open court on them. TOTC is probably the most crowded place in San Antonio. Reservations, reservations, and more reservations. They're also mostly full throughout the year, because they're big on Team Tennis, so there's...

    San Antonio (Northwest)

Actually nice to see other people in San Antonio on these forums. I'm in search of a hitting partner, as well. Well, the courts that the schools play on are always open to public. I live in the Northside, the football stadium being called Gustafson Stadium, and the tennis courts named...

If you want a nice private clinic, try checking out Green Tree. Great coaches with fairly small clinics. Around $15 for a 2-hour clinic. They're also hosting a Turkey Tournament next month, you may want to check out. It's tons of fun.

What's the etiquette on entering tournaments above your level?

You should take advantage of it. It's great for you, and it can teach you many things, which helps you improve much faster. Don't worry about your opponent thinks. He doesn't matter at all. It's a good thing that you don't mind going in losing 0 and 0, because you really don't have anything to...

    Changing Ball Direction During Rallies

To get a sharper angle, I usually try to move farther into the ball, to cut the outside of it better. For down the line shots, I usually try to take them earlier, because it's much easier to time, and better in the long run since you're cutting your opponents time to react.

    deltoideus muscle hurts after serve

Stretches most likely will help if it is, indeed, the muscle. But I've never felt a pain in that muscle before. The actual shoulder is the main thing that takes a beating in the serve. Just acting out the motion of serving, I don't feel any strain at all in that area, mainly in the neck...

    deltoideus muscle hurts after serve

If you're really sure it's that particular muscle, you can stretch it by lifting your elbow up and pulling it behind your back. It helps if you hold the racquet in the serving arm hand, and pull it down with the other one behind your back.

    Rate scez! Video inside

Lol, nice volley. Time to hit the practice courts. :) I think I just saw the way the future of tennis is gonna be played. I'd set your shoes on fire. Move those feet. When you move, you would've angled your strokes much better, much less have a chance at the volley.

Please rate & critique this serve

Well, with a looser arm, you can get the racquet head farther down, giving much more time for the racquet-head to accelerate before it comes to contact with the ball. About the toss, it's a bit hard to see from that angle. I just came to conclusion that you weren't exploding into the court...

Please rate & critique this serve

I'd have to say a strong 3.5. Loosen the arm a bit, and whip through it more. It looks a little stiff in the beginning of the motion. Try tossing into the court a little more, maybe a little more to the right. Nice knee bend, try to add more explosion in it. I'd have to say around...
