    Biking anyone?

Like hitting against the wall vs playing a metch, ie boring vs exciting.

    My first goodwill haul!

Atlleast your still on the courts, assuming pickleball has taken over tennis courts in Austin as well :( Some classic hits would be fun and get me back on the courts, have been retired from tennis most of this year :( Id bring a bike since I do love cycling in Austin (and the food and brews...

    My first goodwill haul!

I have seen many many reports and get emails for finders all the time enjoying classic racket finds, looking for more info. If a racket is good enough to win a slam championship then its NOT an error or mistake but a classic. This is the case for many of the metal transitional rackets including...

    My first goodwill haul!

Im ready to visit Austin when you have one setup :) On a more serious observation is that there seem to be less classic racket players and tournaments as the years pass. In years past, I would hear about about a dozen or so during the spring to fall times. Did not hear about any in TX this year...

    Biking anyone?

I have been cycling and playing tennis since the steel and wood eras, respectively. I collect both classic rackets and bikes. I love using both and cycling is the way I keep my cardio in great shape. It is interesting that Im much more likely to use a new technology bikes made out of carbon...

    Biking anyone?

Nice that you have a gf that is in better shape then you, atleast cycling, so can motivate you to ride, which is great cross training for tennis. You two ever ride this NYC yearly classic https://www.bike.nyc/events/td-five-boro-bike-tour/ ?

Longest Consecutive Win Streak by Surface

Nice to see the real history of tennis considered for records! IMO slam counts and GOATs candidates are surely confused by pre/post Open Tennis but not soo much winning streaks on surfaces.

Greatest mystery of the universe ??

Coincedence or not ... Dgold is near area51 and brings up dark matter. I suspect he is really a Zeta Reticulan or Grey Alien

Decade of the 2010's is almost over. A look back at domination of Djokovic and Big3 of tennis.

Decade of tri-dominance, never been a decade dominated as much by three players. Would like to see 2000 - 2009 since Fed also won 15 slams equaling the Djokovich number for this decade. The next decade will surely be a different story.

    Happy Triskaidekaphobia Day!

No problems in my life on on 9/13 or 9/11 and I even took 737 (not MAX) on 9/11 from SoCal to Vegas. No luck in the casinos just lost wages :) No terdekaphobia either ;)

The Max 200g "could" become my racquet of choice

Any classic racket player should have a few max 200g's in their stock. A true link back to the wood era!

    Head Prestige Pro (USA Version)

Prestige Pros are great playing sticks as are all the PC600's. That would be an impressive addition to your racket bag or just hanging on the wall.

How do the SW's compare? Your memory is very impressive!

Best old school players racquets you've purchased from **** and why

Agree the "Green Monster Tour XL" is a beast. Im pretty strong and like heavy sticks but the XL really challenges baseline blasting strategy.

Best old school players racquets you've purchased from **** and why

No but I do have the Head Tour Extra Long which plays pretty much like that model. Believe both are 29" ?

Best old school players racquets you've purchased from **** and why

My two largest stockpiles of rackets are max200g and pc600. Played both for good parts of different decades and still love to hit both with PC being my hitting racket of choice.

    Doubles with classics?

Guessing you like the Bancroft Players Special. My fav Bancroft is the Borg Personal as it plays great and is quite beautiful with its clearcoat.

    Doubles with classics?

Great report, sure hope it inspires more such meetups. I would love to support some classic dubs meetups in the DFW area with some of my classic playing stock. Those midsize late model woods play great and are not as demanding as going full standard head retro. I have a few NOS Prince Woody...

Pro Kennex Micro Mid 22x30 93"

Super cool rackets with the dense stringing patterns. I have a few diff models. Bet the stringers hated them ;)

    Max 200 G brochure

The graphite injection process gave the max 200g a dynamic stiffness such that swinging harder produced more stiffness, ie power, and for slower swings and volleys, the flex and feel of these rackets was wood like in play. Would be nice if some of the modern rackets used this process but not...
