    Signum Pro Outbreak

I've been testing it for a couple months, and now it's replaced SP Tornado in my setup. It is more comfy than Tornado, has less power and spin but more touch. I play doubles so the added touch at net was a good plus. Accuracy is better overall, especially on angled forehands. I dont think it...

    String-and-forget strings?

One more vote for Signum Pro Poly Plasma, because not only it takes a turtle's lifetime to break, it also holds tension very well.

    Angell/Vantage String Recomendations

Signum Pro Hyperion (similar to Black Magic but longer durability) is great in a TC95 (I'm using this set up), but won't give you that bit of extra spin. Pro's Pro Vendetta is also very nice, the pocketing just invites you to swing real hard. For the TC100, a buddy of mine uses SP Plasma...

Spin, Thin, and Power at 11 ounces?

For thin beam 100sq in rackets you can probably look at the Donnay and Angell offerings. During the demo I found Angells offer more power and spin.

    Soft poly + soft frame

Yes. Flex of 60-63 should be fine. I haven't tried lower. I think the flex doesn't matter as much as the fact that the racket has to be a control type. But I'm just armchair doctorating it here since I haven't tried low tension in a tweener racket.

    Angell TC 100 Review

98 is still in fetus shape... But good thing is that at this stage you can probably email Angell and give feedback on what you would be looking for in such a racket. What's your experience with strings on this stick?

    Angell TC100 16x19 300g

Thanks, realized it is probably true that the power level is average for a 100sq in 16x19. I came from prestige, and tested it along with a Wilson Pro Tour, so the difference in power made a lasting impression in me. Also testing the 95sq in, which give good precision and maneuvarability. Since...

    Angell TC100 16x19 300g

Sorry I live in a remote land, plus is close to an Angell distributor anyway. May I ask what make you not satisfied with the racket?

    Angell TC100 16x19 300g

Testing out Angell frames. My desired spec right now is a TC100 16x19 at about 310g unstrung. There was a 300g version of this stick available for demo so I started with that. First impressions: - This is a powerful racket. And easy to impart spin on the ball. People have compared it with...

Best String of 2013 so far

For a forum so obssessed with pro players, Firestorm should definitely get the award since a top pro actually switched to it.

    Polystar Energy

Tried PS Energy at 16kg and really liked it. Powerful (for a poly), nice spin and comfort. Your racket must be a control type though (mine was a TGK). Downside is horrid volley, which made me give up this set up after a couple months.

Most similar to Pro Line 2, but < $10?

It's funny most strings on the market now go for the extreme (spin, power, soft...) that it's a bit hard to find all around balanced strings like PL2. I believe you can look at the Pro's Pro offering and find a poor man's version of PL2. WeissCannon strings might fit the bill also.

    Durable strings

You break BB ALU in 2-3 hours? Then I'm not sure there's a string on earth can can contain your mighty power... Jk, have you considered trying a bigger gauge of ALU?

YOUR THOUGHTS: What string is very playable but also cheap????

Not if you have to pay for stringjobs. While it's half the price of some other polys, it also "goes dead" in about half the time, which leads to more often stringing required, so youre either paying more money or spending much more time in your parents' basement working the stringing machine...

    Signum propoly:fiber titan,special,power 17g

They are older model strings that Signum Pro either discontinued or stopped advertising for. From bits of info I've come across over the years, they are probably average quality poly's. So not exactly bargains (especially if you hate them later on). Also, anything from Eagnas presents a huge risk.

    Signum Pro Thunderstorm

Tested Firestorm then switched right to Thunderstorm before a company tournament... not a good idea. Very catchy look, powerful, not as much spin as Tornado but more comfy. But this is just after 2,3 sessions so don't trust my words just yet.

45 yr old male: Biom 200 Lite or some or another Midplus?

Yup the Bio 200 Lite feels nice to hit with, but it is very low powered so you'll have to have very good technique in order to make good use of it.

Anyone tried the new Donnay Formula 100 or Pro One?

Last time I checked (30 seconds ago) TW still has 10+ rackets for each of the two most popular grip sizes

    i.prestige MP vs. Ncode Six.One 95

Have an i.prestige, had a Donnay Silver Lite and played both around the same time. You cannot play with the Donnay using the same technique as heavier rackets. It's a thin beam, control oriented racket yet very light. You really need to whip it on every shot. It was a weird testing period for...

    Donny Gold 99 String Setup

It's hard if you don't say your level and style of play - the string set up depends on the player more than anything else! With that said, I though the Gold was a low powered stick with not a lot of heft, and when I tried it with a full bed of Tornado it wasn't a successful outing. So maybe you...
