    Crank machine and tension calibration...

I want to switch as well to the Wise, but just cant justify the additional cost. Besides myself,I do about 2 racquets a week for other people. I wonder if there are any second hand electronic tension heads for sale.

    Crank machine and tension calibration...

Tension... I think we are talking about the same thing. What I meant by the crank arm, probably not the right label, was the thingamajic that the tensioning device (tension head?) slides back and forth on. It Horizontal and has teeth, it has stops on either side so that the tension head...

    Crank machine and tension calibration...

Thanks for checking it out for me. I don't think it's the scale, cause it's consistent when I am consistent testing it, position when the crank locks out. I will try the controlled motion and let you know how that does. Thanks.

    Crank machine and tension calibration...

I was calibrating my crank machine and noticed something weird, or maybe not. I use an electronic fishing scale to calibrate my machine, which provides me with accuracy to ounces. I noticed that when my crank locks out closer to left side of the crank arm, the tension reads lower than if the...

    String breakage...

My buddy says the strings feel as tight and doesnt notice a difference when he hits with the racquet. the strings dont feel softer or harder. When I said he seems to think I string it different, we were trying to figure out what could be different. strings, tension, machine, ... Like I...

    String breakage...

Thanks for the reply. No it wasnt the same string, but I would bet the string that I used was much cheaper than his normal string. I used the freebie, syn. gut 16 guage from Eagnas that I got when I bought my stringer. I too thought that it would be the string as well, but my buddy claims he...

    String breakage...

I got a friend who breaks strings about every 2 weeks. Usually the same spot on the mains. He usually has his strings restrungs at a local racquet shop. I have been in the shop and the owner has a very sophisticated stringing machine, I beleive it was a Balabot. the owner does all the...

    Eagnas Resale Value

Bidding on ****... I did some research and here is what I beleive is happening... I auctioned a new racquet, and it sold for just around wholesale with very few bidders. The same racquet in the same condition, sold for higher before and after I sold mine, with many more bids. I kept the...

    Calibrating...

I notice that most of the posts on the forums advise you to set the tension to 60lbs when calibrating a machine and then adjust accordingly. Why is that (60lbs)?

    Crank Machines and Tensions...

Lower Tensions... I'm still in the market for a Stringing Machine since the shipment from the factory on the one I had decided on keeps getting delayed. At least it's giving me a little more time to research different machines. I mainly do Racquetball racquets which the tension on most...

    How to compare electronic stringer....

Thanks for the replies... I'm still in the market for a stringer, and was wondering if stepping up to a Electronic stringer would be a wise idea at this point. But from the replies and my budget, ~1000, I think staying with a crank may be the best bet for me. Again, thanks for the information.

    How to compare electronic stringer....

I'm trying to decide whether to get a crank or an electric pull stringer. What is the difference between good electronics or not so good electronics on a stringing machine. What should you look for in the electronics? Most of the machines seem to come with a 1 yr warranty on the electronics. TIA

axbige... can you send me your most current rating on the Mutual Power machine. I am interested in either the 4000, 6000 or Herc. 630, and wanted to hear from someone who already has one. Have you had to deal with customer support? Is the machine sturdy? TIA
