Surface and Shoes for Jump Rope

I do intervals for cardio. Lately, I have gravitated to jumping rope. My intervals consists of high knees, single leg, skiers, and lateral. I think maybe when I do high knees I am not landing softly. I have tried outside and also on a couple surfaces inside. And feel pain, in my left legs...

Anyone Try Velocity Sports or other Speed/Power Training Classes?

I have looked into it. Tremendous article on the Frappier Acceleartion system in the New York Times. Stairmaster

Phil, What was your stairmaster workout. I never hold on, but I wanted to do a HITT. Also at high speeds can that be bad for your knees? I like the rowing machine, but try to avoid most other cardio machines.

    Anybody else gettin tore-up feet?

NB made a huge difference for me too. I had Barricades before that cause it looked cool and my toe-nails etc. are disgusting. Just switched to Nike's and already the top part of my foot is hurting. Just wish NB's had better looking shoes.

    Strengthening Ankles

Will also add that I take a supplement that has Calcium, Magnesium, and Vitamin D from GNC( I think Calcimate something). I don't drink milk but I try to eat a lot of yogurt. Rickson, what's causing my left collarbone to hurt on dips in your opinion?

    Strengthening Ankles

Good information as usual in this thread. I will say my main priority is improving my lateral movement and speed. I can run 12 mph on a treadmill for 1/4 mile, but I am obsessed with speed and lateral movement the way most of America is obsessed with American Idol.

    Strengthening Ankles

Rickson, I try to eat protein with every meal as well as whey protein, but not sure if I would qualify it as a high protein diet. I am very obsessed with speed(not the drug) and someone mentioned that I need to have more stability in the ankles etc. and trying to see best way to get there.

    Increasing Muscle Mass Quick!

Rickson, I know you are a big proponent of dips. One thing and I am guessing it has to do with my technique is sometimes I feel a sharp pain in my left collarbone when I do them. Do you have any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

    Strengthening Ankles

One of my biggest priorities with regards to fitness is speed and lateral movement. I do think one area of mine that could use some work is my ankle stability. I was wondering if there are any exercises etc. to make my ankles stronger.

I am 32. I work out everyday. I want to play tennis for the rest of my life and my legs are most of my game in tennis since I am still working on technique. Top Causes of Knee Injury and Avoiding

Ok, I know this is a fairly open-ended question, but for the first time, I am having problems with my knees. I hope it's minor, but people say I am limping. I am not sure where it is coming from. I do quarter mile sprints on treadmill, suicides. Anyhow from an athletic standpoint, my legs are...

    Improving Lateral Movement

Thanks to Ano, Tricky, Chess, Kevin T, Rickson etc, I am getting in decent shape. At a tennis club, I recently joined, they have hitting lanes. Briefly, there are 3 lanes on the court, so each lane is about a 1/3 of the court separated by nets. There is a ball machine.
