Tall, powerful and fast. The next step in the evolution of tennis!

Yes, Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Khachanov and Berrettini may be the next dominant group of players and they are all tall. Out of more 'normal' heights, Thiem, FAA and Coric may be able to hang with them. At least, this generation of young players are doing much better than the previous ones.

New Laver Cup RF97 for 2019?

White would be perfect. Bought a pair of this year's version for my personal use. Received them and dying to try them out. Look so nice!

Remember: 4 sets in 6 tries, +15 years

Nadal's money shot v Fed was always heavy topspin FH to Fed's BH. If you have watched all of their matches prior to 2017, that's so obvious. Now that that advantage has evaporated, Nadal just can't beat Fed anywhere that's not clay, and their FO match was actually quite close this year in the...

Remember: 4 sets in 6 tries, +15 years

Nadal is not one-dimensional player whose only strength is speed. His game declined in all areas a little as he aged, just like Federer's. V Fed, it was more about the match up issue. Even Nadal himself admitted in an interview that he doesn't use the tactic of going to Fed's BH anymore now that...

Remember: 4 sets in 6 tries, +15 years

Federer's game has declined just as much. Let's not talk about decline as an excuse because if anyone declined more, it should be Fed.

Remember: 4 sets in 6 tries, +15 years

Oh, you idiot. Federer is 5 years older and you think Federer has declined less than Nadal?

Remember: 4 sets in 6 tries, +15 years

With 97 sq inch frame, Fed probably could have taken twice as many sets off Nadal in his 20s. And probably no losses at Wimbledon and AO.

US Open 2019 QF Berrettini vs. Monfils

Monfils is such a nice guy. The way he smiled and congratulated Berrettini was so genuine and nice after such a tough defeat. Congrats to Berrettini. I think we have a group of at least 7 young players who are promising now. Good time for tennis.

    Nadal v federer reality check

20>18>16. Even primary school kids know that's the fact.

    Nadal v federer reality check

20>18. Even factually, that is not wrong. Also, that was from a Nadal fan and a lot of Nadal fans quietly agreed, it seemed - AO 2017, the decider for GOAT status, that was to be it, no excuses. Can't change the past whatever you do.

2019 US Open QF: (3) Federer vs Dimitrov

Told you nothing is for certain with an old guy.

    Nadal v federer reality check

It's not me. It was a devout Federer hater and Nadal fan who said there would be no excuses and AO 2017 final would decide who the GOAT would be. That was a bit of a history lesson for you.

2019 US Open QF: (3) Federer vs Dimitrov

I agree, but nowadays, Fed troubles himself in a lot of tight situation, so winning that 1st set was important. I don't think he will mess up from here.

2019 US Open QF: (3) Federer vs Dimitrov

Dimi helped Fed there a bit by making some FH UEs. 4-1 Fed.

2019 US Open QF: (3) Federer vs Dimitrov

3-0 in 6 minutes. That's a perfect start for RF.

2019 US Open QF: (3) Federer vs Dimitrov

Dimi seems still nervous. Fed better take advantage and make it a quick work in 1st set to set up for an easy win.

2019 US Open QF: (3) Federer vs Dimitrov

Grogor standing so far behind the baseline, I can't see how he can win from there v Fed.

    Nadal v federer reality check

That already happened in AO 2017. Seems that a lot of Rafa fans still can't accept the defeat even in 2019.

    Nadal v federer reality check

Injury excuses usually come from Nadal's side, if you remember correctly.

US Open 2019 QF Berrettini vs. Monfils

I like Berrettini and I believe he is a future top 5, but I've been betrayed too many times by young guns and my hope is not too high on him at this tournament. Let's see how good he will be in 2021. Having said that, I think he may meet Nadal at SF and make SFs an affair between Legends v Young...

Hoping Fed stays injury free and makes this a quick one.

Would you say this year's US Open is "Federer's to lose?" Or "Nadal's to lose?"

I am wary of Medvedev. He is on a good run and I don't think we can say it is a given that one of Fed or Nad will win.

    Nadal v federer reality check

What are you smoking? Well, let's pray for Federer v Nadal final, that we can agree, no?

Medvedev alone will be tougher than any of Nadal's opponents leading to F.

    Nadal v federer reality check

You can wish all you want, but the reality is injured or badly out of form Federer will be Nadal's only hope off clay nowadays. Outside clay, Federer is 6-0 v Nadal, including 2 GS matches. The pattern has been always similar and that should be extremely worrying for Nadal - Federer is a...

What is it that Stanimal has over Djokovic which Roger and Rafa don’t have?

Stan hits so big FH and BH, which seems to be the situation Djoko hates most. Basically, Stan accepts he is the underdog and goes for his shots, and that nothing to lose attitude seems to lift his level. Federer should accept he is the underdog and put the pressure off his shoulders, play...

Medvedev to do a Chung ?

Medvedev is no. 5 and just beat no.1 player of the world in the last tournament. He is one of the best players of the moment. I think it will be a tough one for Fed should he win tonight.
