When he arrived in Tokyo Djokovic, 32, suggested there were ’emotional’ factors at play that may have contributed to his shoulder problem. Read more: https://metro.co.uk/2019/09/30/novak-djokovic-pleasantly-surprised-make-tokyo-remains-cautious-shoulder-injury-10833657/?ito=cbshare Twitter...

    Djokovic another surgery news

I am fully aware of what arthroscopy is and that it can be used for investigation or treatment. Yes Nadal did undergo arthroscopy in order to remove loose bone fragments. Djokovic himself said he had a small medical intervention, medical not surgical. I have not read anywhere of the actual...

    Djokovic another surgery news

I only suggested that the minor medical intervention in 2018 could have been as simple as a cortisone injection because there seemed to be very little information about what he had undergone. Where did you read about the mesh? Available information at the time seemed very vague and...

    Djokovic another surgery news

Everyone talks about Djokovic having to undergo another surgery as though he had undergone a major procedure. He actually agreed to and had a minor medical intervention. He made this statement via his Instagram account. Medical intervention does not imply a surgical procedure, it could...

    Roof at Roland-Garros next year...

Nadal and Djokovic have played to my knowledge, one match on clay, under a roof. Hamburg 2008, the result determined the number two ranking position. Nadal won 7-5, 2-6, 6-2.

WTF should not be worth any ATP points.

That is exactly what diminishes it as a tournament. It is not representative of the tour in general. I thought that the WTF's were I tended to be the culmination of and representation of the world tour as a whole.

    Kyrgios won't give up

It was 3am. and very humid because the locker rooms were a good distance away Nadal changed in an unlit tunnel off the court, to save time. On returning to the court he realized that he had accidentally put his shorts on the wrong way round. He asked if he could quickly go and change, Bernardes...

    Kyrgios won't give up

It's a total misrepresentation of what happened. The Kyrgios side is maybe as shown, I can't say because I didn't watch. The Nadal side not correct. I have just watched a replay, several times and I am absolutely sure of what happened. Nadal and Medvedev had just played an amazing 32 shot...

    Fergus Murphy should be suspended.

I agree. Who could know what Kyrgios is serious about, he certainly seems to have an obsession.with Nadal. As for the fine, I don't think paying a fine will have any effect on the behaviour of Kyrgios. He is a millionaire, thanks to tennis which he says he doesn't enjoy.$113k is small change to...

    Fergus Murphy should be suspended.

I wrote this in reply to someone way back in April, 2014, I accept that there is a time rule, but I cannot accept that it is fairly imlemented. When does the timing start? Is it when the ball is dead or when the umpire calls the point? There is quite a lot of discrepancy between the two. How...

Nadal gets a bye to finals

Did it make a joke of the result when Djokovic won the WTF's due to Federer giving him a WO. Nadal still has to play a final match. Nadal isn't the first to receive a WO and I doubt he will be the last.

Rigged draw or just bad luck? Dimitrov v Wawrinka to play eachother in the 1R for the 4th time in a year.

I was fully aware of Neil Harman's history when I posted those quotes. Whilst his actions regarding the plagiarism were deplorable I really don't think they have any significance in relation to the the tweets about the draw. Those tweets and the responses from other journalists were made as the...

Rigged draw or just bad luck? Dimitrov v Wawrinka to play eachother in the 1R for the 4th time in a year.

I do remember reading this some years ago, it was about the US Open draw. QUOTE, Neil Harman ‏@NeilHarmanTimes Neil Harman ‏@NeilHarmanTimes There is something frankly not right about being handed a full draw sheet as you walk into the room where the draw is about to take place Andrew Jerell...

Analysis of Federer-Nadal match by Craig O’Shannessy

He isn't only the strategy coach for Djokovic. He is the analyst behind 'Brain Games', for the ATP, which to me seems like a conflict of interests.

Facing Thiem rather than Djokovic was better for Rafael Nadal - Uncle Toni

Would that be in the same way that Federer was lucky with the scheduling, weather etc., at Wimbledon in 2007? Nadal still managed to take Federer to five sets, on his favourite surface, in the final, even though he had played for five consecutive days.

What do Federer fans think of his Semi Final run at the French Open?

I'm sure you mentioned conditions in an earlier post. So leaving weather out of it, because it was the same for both. Federer still cannot handle Nadal on clay, even though I think he had expectations that he would be able to.

    Was Thiem tired?

Was Nadal disadvantaged in the Wimbledon 2007 final? He had played for five consecutive days, while Federer rested in his hotel. He still took Federer to five sets on RF's favourite surface. Nadal was asked about it prior to the final http://www.asapsports.com/show_interview.php?id=44167

    Kyrgios penalty is a joke

Well in the UK penalty points for speeding are cumulative. The minimum penalty for speeding is three points for each offence. If a driver gets 12 points on his/her licence within a 3 year period they are disqualified from driving. Maybe the Atp should adopt similar rules.

How did Claydal buzzsaw RBA so effortlessly coming off an injury?

Would that be the same kind of fear displayed by Federer at the WTF's. Suddenly the stand by back injury appeared, but he was able to play Davis Cup less than a week later.

    Rafa's biggest loves in life.

I must have missed something. What exciting and interesting activities do Federer and Djokovic do in their downtime? I would hardly call attending a fashion show with Anna Wintour interesting, pretentious, showy, flashy, maybe, but inteesting?

    Rafa's biggest loves in life.

IMO the only reason that Nadal is seen more in the limelight in his private endeavours is bec ause the paparazzi follow him. In many of the pictures it is obvious that he is not best pleased about that. I think you are totally wrong when you say Nadal enjoys being in the limelight, but it's...

    Rafa's biggest loves in life.
