Did Nick change his shirt or just put the collar down?

    Federer News

I thought Nick was more in the 130 - 133 range which seemed a little down. But yeah... He did hit a 140mph to start the match.

    Federer News

From the matches I've seen I think most players serve speed have been down by a bit. Djoker last night, although that could be due to injury, and even Kygrios the night before was down by a few MPH. Could be the balls or the humidity.

Apparently the night session players were using it to warm up.

I guess Ashe is being used for night session players to warm up.

No confirmation but by the look of some the players in there it seems to be muggy when the roof is closed.

It's going to be a sweat shop in Ashe today. Humidity at almost 90%.

    Federer Was Not Sad

I'm having flashbacks of my double fault to end my match in a super tiebreaker last night. Same thing.

No he's training and thinking about his next match.

Wimbledon 2019 | Full Match what went wrong for Federer ?

I guess... But you could also say that if Fed hit his approach a little more deep and towards the sideline and he's sitting at 21.

Wimbledon 2019 | Full Match what went wrong for Federer ?

So true. And let's not forget this was already deep in the 5th set 4.5 hours into the match. To execute everything perfect at this point would be extremely difficult. Whether it be placing a serve or hitting the right approach.

Genesis Magic & Gut Hybrid Set

Has anyone tried out this hybrid or has any reviews on how good of quality the gut is?

Wimbledon 2019 | Full Match what went wrong for Federer ?

Nothing went wrong IMO. He had a few chances to win it. One was a tough shot in his feet, the other he missed his spot on the approach. Novak hit a nice, but not necessarily difficult, pass at the right time. Both men gave it their all and dazzled us with one of the best matches ever. It could...

Rick Macci Forehand Tip: Try keeping the back foot back to promote relaxation

Pretty good tip. It helps to promote core rotation rather than having your legs and core glued together. Of course eventually you'll want that back leg to come around to finish the stroke but it should come after the core rotates.

What went wrong at 40-15 for Federer?

I don't think it was a choke. It was almost 5 hours into the match and Fed had a chance to put it away at 40-30 on the approach. 7 out of 10 times he likely puts it in the right spot to win the match but in this instance he didn't. Credit to Novak for taking advantage of the poor approach. He...

What went wrong at 40-15 for Federer?

Agreed. Novak can read shots better too. But nevertheless Fed's approach in that situation was not nearly good enough. He probably knew it but it was too late to retreat. Likely hoping for an error or a bad placed passing shot.

I don't think he likes the humid, indoor conditions in his later years.
