New to racquets. Any opinions on these sticks? (Pure Aero Plus, Grapheme Radical Pro, Ezone 98+, Phantom 100)

Agreed, It was nice to snatch up one of the last Duel G 97's last year with the stock 330g weight. It makes it an easy set up to tune it in for me. I am probably sitting at around 345 grams now with not a massive amount of added tape weight. I still think Yonex did wrong discontinuing that line.

    Full poly stringjob, instant notching

I noticed PT Pro is very soft poly and is why I switched to PT Fire. It's a bit harder but tension losses are a lot lower, dramatically lower with 1.30mm, and it's extremely slippery so even a bad stringer wont be able to notch it. [emoji1] Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk

I've been stringing for years. Still not sure how tight to make clamps.

I had an issue with a certified Master Stringer that still strings at her store. I use PolyTour Fire 1.30mm strings, and I know they are extremely slippery, but I get my sticks back looking like a cat chewed at least two or three of the strings at the clamping points. I still don't get her...

Using budget string. Do club players notice?

I was stringing so high with 1.30mm Prince Syngut duraflex due to tension losses it was stupid. I called it at 72# and switched to 1.30mm full poly at 65# and never went back. I was getting near 20% less tension loss, more consistency and more time between stringing. Adding up stringing labor...

    Yonex stringing machines

ProTech 8 [emoji44] I would buy one if I had the volume. I agree though, all of Yonex machines are the smoothest running and highest quality of all the brand's I've used on the market such as Gamma, Babolat and Prince. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk

    Star 5 - stiff

Babolat clamps have sawed into every 1.30mm Yonex Poly I have ever seen. I despise them. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk

    Star 5 - stiff

I used the 6900els and had great results IF they are calibrated. The 20% prestretch is awesome on it. Problem is, if the go out of calibration, it's usually really bad. They snap 1.30mm poly strings as easy as dry spaghetti. One note I found about Babolat clamps, is they tend to cut into...

Why not stretch strings while stringing with my drop weight?

I like to use TW string academy as a general guide to tension loss on the strings I use. When I string I ask if the want a true tension or a loose tension of what they are asking. I get the deer in headlights look a lot. Issue is, so many stringers don't prestretch here and the strings may have...

Synthetic gut Mains / Polyester Crosses Club

I dropped 10# on my full bed poly to 55# and spin rate more than doubled, but ball speed and control dropped tanked. Going back to 65# so I can get back to hitting triple digit ball speeds even if they are slightly flatter. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk

New to racquets. Any opinions on these sticks? (Pure Aero Plus, Grapheme Radical Pro, Ezone 98+, Phantom 100)

Instead of a VCore 95, try a slightly larger head like the VCore Pro 97. I would have said a Duel G but Yonex discontinued that specific line. I know the Pro 97 gives me more spin than the EZone 98+ but is a bit heavier at 310g stock. I actually get complaints on how much spin my balls have...

Overgrip: Yonex Super Grap vs Wilson Pro Overgrip

I tried 124EX and loved it. Found it better than 120EX plus it's made in Japan. I'm not a fan of Wilson as it wears out too fast. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk

Depends on the country. either way, Naomi only has 9 months even if she was a dual on a pure technicality. Life for her will be a lot easier come October.

Osaka must choose to be Japanese or American this year

I will talk to her next time I see her, but I nobody can possess two passports. Hers is Japanese. If there cant be a passport held, she isn't a full citizen.

Osaka must choose to be Japanese or American this year

She only has one citizenship. She holds only one passport, and that is Japanese. Being a Green card Resident, as she is, is not considered being naturalized.

College Women's coach asked me a hybrid question

Issue I would see is that if they are producing a serious amount of power, lowering tension too much will impact the behavior too much. I did, and had a serious side effect on my play style. In my opinion, I would do a one 1 on 1 with each player and not group them all into a single bucket. Do...

Japan does not allow Dual Nationality. Period. She has never claimed to be anything else. She is a born native living abroad like many do. Not illegal or immoral. She cant "choose" her citizenship anymore than any other Japanese Native. Myself included, even though I have lived in the US for...

    Mizuno Tennis shoes and clothing

I have noticed that stored that only carry lines from companies that spend the most on advertising always fail unless they have millions in capital, like your typical big box stores. That is why people who know, don't buy from those stores. Most Mizuno stores I have found are the smaller stores...

    Mizuno Tennis shoes and clothing

They are made in the Suminoe Ward of Osaka. If you are in Osaka, you might be able to get some beter information and even give some input for special sizing. A lot of people near me worked near me there as I lived in neighboring Sakai.

I'm a rebel. Hitting up Reebok for a set of these Club C 85 Vintage Tennis Shoes. Back then we didn't have to worry about crappy midsole foam contacting the ground like today. I wore these when I first learned to play tennis in the 80's. https://m.reebok.com/us/club-c-85-vintage/BS8242.html...

"Arm friendly" racket vs. "Not horrible for your arm" rackets

I was against the machine this evening hitting 70mph balls with 55# PolyTour Fire and it felt like mush with just thuds, switched to the 70# full bed PolyTour Fire and aahhhhh, so nice..... it felt like I was felt ripping at that tension. I am so sadistic to tennis balls. LOL

    Poly with good tension maintenance?

From a string like Lux ALU, even a poly like the super slick PolyTour Fire 125 16Lhave great maint. with a 10% prestretch. It's like playing Luxilon ALU, without the massive tension losses. If you look at the comparison tool, the strings should behave the same but the Yonex PT Fire will have...

Strings to use in low vs high powered racquets?

I like playing with PolyTour Fire full bed on my DuelG 330 at 65# with 10% prestretch after I added 18g of twist weight. Reason being that I was over powering the ball so much on 60#. On the bright side, I can still send hella fast aces with laser accuracy. I gained loads more control and...

"Arm friendly" racket vs. "Not horrible for your arm" rackets

I just upped dampening on my current racket. Lowered string tensions from 65# to 55 # and wearing impacto gloves. It's a temp measure for a come back after an auto accident injured me. Now it's like I can't play, so I will have to adjust to the new set up. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
