The one day I wish AndyM was still around,....

Wimbledon 2019 SF: Roger Federer [2] vs Rafael Nadal [3]

I really can't get over the sensibility of this post, lol! What you just said is what I've been trying to preach to certain folks here....to no avail. No such thing as patience here.

Wimbledon 2019 SF: Roger Federer [2] vs Rafael Nadal [3]

Honestly, I've elected to just go along for the ride at this point in regards to FAA. No expectations, so I don't really have a prediction. Gun to my head, though? General and loose prediction? I'd say a Hewtt/Roddick/Safin/Ferrero type career. Consistently at the top, or at least among the top...

Wimbledon 2019 SF: Roger Federer [2] vs Rafael Nadal [3]

With that win, Federer proclaimed "Yeah, you got me at Roland Garros but you're on my turf now!". 12th Wimbledon final for the GOAT! Outstanding!

Wimby’19 QF: (3) R Nadal vs Sam “I Am The Destroyer” Querrey

Okay, that makes sense. I thought they were talking about the last decade up until now.

Wimby’19 QF: (3) R Nadal vs Sam “I Am The Destroyer” Querrey

Okay, this is really bothering me. I just saw a stat on my feed that I've seen once before last week as well, that Nadal has won at least one major every year for the last decade. Not true! He didn't win one in 2015! What am I missing here??

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

That's the thing. I bet he was genuinely confident, but he hadn't been on Centre Court facing Federer before. Real wake up call for him.

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

In all seriousness, I actually feel for Matteo. A lot. He IS much better than this. He's clearly not prepared for the moment and nervous as hell. He's a professional so you can't feel too sorry for him, but you know what I'm saying.

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

I guess I can only speak for myself but at least the result of that match was expected.

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

Either Fowler or Gilbert had a good point: Berrettini hasn't even seen anything like this yet. Because the top players flamed out in the tune ups he didn't face any of them. Suddenly he's on Centre Court against Roger Federer. The guy is simply not prepared. He's had a great grass season but now...

Ha! Would have been the most efficient thing the Italian has done today.

My goodness....Matteo dumps the drop shot in the net and it's another break for Federer.

    Federer slicing and dicing deliciously!

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

Totally agree! People love to ***** about the next gen instead of looking at it the other way round, that these three are probably the three greatest players of all time and that this is a special and unique era that they will miss when it's over.

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

That miss by Berrettini is what I mean by giving the match to Fed. Terrible.

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

Again, Federer looks pretty great but Berrettini is also kind of giving it to him. In other words, this isn't the Italian's best. If Berrettini cleans his game up we'll likely get the match we were expecting. I say this as someone who's rooting for Fed.

Wimbledon R4: Roger Federer [2] vs Matteo Berrettini [17]

Federer looks good but Berrettini is kind of giving this to him. The guy looks tight.

    2019 Wimbledon - Women's Singles - General Discussion

What a joke the women's draw is now. Barty, Pliskova and Kvitova gone, just like that. At this point I'm just cheering for Serena. Bag another major and tie Court's record.

The Ascent To The Throne Begins For Felix Auger Aliassime

Bingo. What a concept. I think Fedalovic has spoiled everyone and totally skewed our expectations of young players. Every young player has to be perfect off both wings, be equally great at offense and defense, have a great serve and superb net play. If you don't display all those qualities...

Which Youngster Had The Most Disappointing Performance Today?

Not making excuses for the loss at all, but just pointing out that at that age, "25 months and change" makes a helluva lot of difference, in sports and in life in general. So much learning and growth and maturity in those crucial months.

2019 Wimbledon R3: Roger Federer(2) vs Lucas Poille

It has to be addressed. When some of the greats like Federer and Laver are saying it, you know something's wrong.

2019 Wimbledon R3: Roger Federer(2) vs Lucas Poille

Pouille gets tied up at the net and can't get the volley over. Federer breaks and takes the 2nd 6-2!
