    I have both versions and they are exactly the same D shape beams, the only difference V1 has higher sw than v2. could it be that you are had tc97 before which is box beam.

    I play one handed backhand, I add half of over grip (from butt cap down half way) underneath the replacement grip and use full overgrip on top, this makes my 1/4 to 3/8
