Nadal can still easily surpass/match Federer's Slam count

They disrespected Anderson, and Anderson beat their god at Wimbledon from 2 sets down loool. Funnily if Federer had beaten Anderson, he would have had Isner who's a fairly easy match up for him and then a tired Djokovic in the final, he could have won it all. Anderson stopped it. I call that Karma.

anyone know why nadal lost 3-0 in david ferrer at 11 AO QF ?

Nadal suffered an injury in the 2nd or 3rd game of the match, I remember it was a marathon game. The only reason he didn't retire was because he had retired the year before against Murray. It was very clear all along that he wasn't really playing to win.

Meldonium aside, where does Maria Sharapova rank in open era?

It maybe a PED but you can't hold it against her for taking it when it was not illegal. I am sure she's not the only one trying to find ways to stay ahead of the competition. For example many players use hyperbaric chambers for recovery. If WADA declares it illegal tomorrow would those players...

If you could remove one loss from your favorite player's resume, which one would it be?

I'd take AO 2017 over 2014. Nadal would have 20 slams now, 1 more than Federer. Plus if Nadal had won that I am sure he would have won a few of their subsequent matches, especially Miami 2017 where Federer beat him by playing just average tennis. Nadal checked out mentally, the AO final was...

Fred confirms he will play Roland Garros in 2020

I love watching Federer on clay, even more so than hard. His baseline game truly comes out on clay. You don't get to see it as often on hard because he bots a lot.

Federer is now 1-9 against #1 at Slams

Yeah but Tuitt is done for the season now that's a big blow and Juju fumbled against the Ravens too. :(

    Moya joins Rafa's coaching team

A coach can't change a 30 year old player suddenly. Whatever change Moya has made to Nadal's game, he already had those in him. But a coach can definitely help someone tactically and mentally. That's where Moya has made a difference and it's significant. I wonder how much difference Moya would...

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

He is at AO and Wimbledon, especially Wimbledon. Remember Craig Tiley is importing the Basel surface.

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

I know you're joking but Kyrgios won't reach top 10, like ever. He is not meant for that. I actually expect him to decline in a couple of years.

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

From next year Rafa will take it easy outside slams. He won't sweep clay like he used to.
  17. Z

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

he was talking about 2018 and he is right. Clay is only 30% of the tour. As long as Medeved does reasonably well on clay he will be fine. Big 3 won't push themselves outside slams.

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

Shanghai is not indoors, except today.

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

He is a different player now, both mentally and game wise. His current run is historic and he is thrashing almost every opponent. He is actually getting better. He is playing better now than he did in North America.

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

He is different from other youngsters. I have never hyped anyone else before. They're inconsistent, Medvedev is not.
  21. Z

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

Of course he can. He plays all the tournaments and goes deep in every single one. Nadal has won the US Open and Montreal after Wimbledon but Medvedev has gained like 1500 more more points than him in the same period. Unless he goes out early at slams he can get to #1 without winning one. Big 3...

Medvedev will be world #1 in 2020

Not sure if it's a bold prediction or not but the way he is playing right now he is on track to get to world #1 next year and his style is sustainable. He can get to #1 without even winning a slam lol. All he has to do is go deep in every tournament.

Djoko should sign up for Vienna

Yes because he only needed a few points and it was much easier to do at Paris. He actually got a relatively tough R2 there. Could have easily been a much easier opponent than Chung. It's true that he would have had 3 chances in London but he was probably not sure that he was ready to battle...

Djoko should sign up for Vienna

I mean that depends on how many round robin matches he wins at the ATP finals. If he wins all 3 then that would do it, but if he wins only 2 he will be a few points short.
  25. Z

Djoko should sign up for Vienna

No he didn't think that his knee would heal fully by WTF even if he had skipped Paris. Otherwise he wouldn't have played it. He knew that winning an R2 match in Paris was much easier with an injured knee than at WTF against a top 8 players. He took the right decision at that time.
  26. Z

Djoko should sign up for Vienna

I don't think it was a dumb move. He needed one win to secure it and it was much easier to get that win at Paris than at WTF given his physical state at that time.
  27. Z

Rafa has almost secured the Year end no 1.

Your earlier statement was factually wrong, I corrected that part. I am not going to comment on your opinion. Edit: Sorry wrong thread. lol In any case, Djokovic is fully capable of winning Paris. If he does that it will come down to the YEC. So it's still too early to say that Nadal has...
  28. Z

Djoko should sign up for Vienna

Not true. If Djokovic wins both Paris and YEC undefeated, Nadal would need minimum 1220 points. Two semis won't do it. He would need 2 finals.
