Why no World Team Mic ups on the sideline?

Does anyone have any? So Pro Europe but of course that has to be expected. Also Im assuming its difficult to translate Australian to Canadian to English back and forth would need subtitles or professional translator.

Why Serena is a victim if her own success and why she is the GOAT

If you watch the match you see that Andreescu is not deferential to Serena at no point in the match. She has no respect for her on the court(only off). Shes screaming, shouting and celebrating as she pleases. A lot of this seems to be a product of her being a huge fan of Serena. And you gotta...

How did Medvedev survive in no mans land

Admittedly I only watched a couple of his matches but he seemed to anticipate and move extremely well in no mans land for many points. Dont think I ever seen a 6 6 guy move so well like that. Wonder if this is a trend once people see his success

What did Medvedev say to Rafa at the end?

Interesting. Rafa was shaking his head like dont worry about it my G. But I guess he could have been shaking his head like no no Im not the best.

What did Medvedev say to Rafa at the end?

Did they mention in the presser? Looks like Medvedev apologized for something. This is maybe why players lose to big3 guys. They respect them too much

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

Fair. Infield fly rule maybe more appropriate. If baseball and all their deep rooted history and traditions can change tennis can innovate as well. I understand the sample size for touching the net vs infield fly rule is not the same but that should make it even easier to changed

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

True also new rule makes it hard need new generation of players and umps and those guys never retire

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

Yes lets just do things because thats the way its always been done. Lets not let women vote or allow people to openly discriminate. Ok I get it - but to assume all rules are good is bad. If that were the case we would still be roaming the forest and desert

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

Fair point but I think it actually causes injury, trying to stop before touching the net or going around it. (My opinion i dont have any data to back that up)

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

Sorry I meant written to be specific as in you cannot manipulate the net since that is the goal. Not to make sure someone lightly taps it with their racquet or body then loses the point for that reason. Time Violations dont seem to be enforced consistently but the way I understand it different...

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

This is not the 1800s we can write rules that are specific and make sense. Umpires can easily enforce if someone is raising the net. Much easier that deciding time violation.

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

You right, tennis isnt a contact sport afterall

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

They why is the rule not written like that? Why is it if you touch or tap it you lose.

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

Exactly how is that not good for the sport? At the pro or amateur level

Why do these weird touching rules exist?

Why does touching the net result in a loss point? Can someone explain the significance of it? Is it to discourage someone to reach over the net? Cant understand that either - why that is that bad. Also why does the ball touching a body part result in a lost point? Wouldnt it be fun if a player...

Tsitsipas calling out french people as weirdos

True. But I guess we are all weird now that I think of it. People who act “normal” are usually the ones who come with an AR-15.

The US Open draw is really opening up for Kyrgios

Also NY nightlife will destroy him if he makes it to week 2 especially if conditions are bad.

Tsitsipas calling out french people as weirdos

I think they understand how difficult it could be for the player in those moments and the frustration is just vented to the umpire. No idea about the rulebook tho more talking about enforcement

The US Open draw is really opening up for Kyrgios

No but he relies heavily on his serve on tight points and big situations. Very difficult for him to win if he is not serving very well.

Thomas Fabbiano is allegedly 173 cm tall (5 foot 8). Can ATP's height info be fully trusted?

Height with shoes on and shoes off is about 1-1.5 inch difference Measured in the morning(when spine is relaxed) vs evening(spine is more compressed) is about .5inch difference.

The US Open draw is really opening up for Kyrgios

I dint believe he has the fitness to go 2 weeks but if he gets many straights he could be in luck. He would also have to serve extremely well. Very difficult to do over 7 matches as well as many servebots flame out around week 2 even if they are on fire. Its all very unlikely but possible. A...

Tsitsipas calling out french people as weirdos

Stefanos, Stefanos, Stefanos you have much to learn. This may come back to bite you more than Nick and his comment under his breath in the Warwrinka match. But in the meantime I guess Monfils or Mahut wont be playing doubles. I think there is real Nick 2.0 potential here. But if he can be just...
