Im a 4.0, and I've only ever used the same racket. Am I crazy?

Has to be. If it’s on tennis channel and the pros themselves are stating that. Has to be, it’s not like they’re getting paid to say those things.

Most evenly spaced 18 main racquet

The new vcore 18x20 might be that. Blade seems to be right there as well.

Any way to make a racquet feel softer?

Just lower your tension to low 40’s. You’d be surprised. Try 43/40 or even 40/40. It’s doesn’t become a canon like you might think.

    Going down a grip size

More whip is the usual answer. I settled with 3/8, use to play 5/8 or 1/2, but I think mine is actually 1/2 with overgrip since I changed my replacement with a Babolat syntec Pro. Pros, CAN but not always depends on person to produce more racket head speed, cons, more wristy, may not suit your...

There is no better racquet then the Wilson RF 97a, won't you agree?

But I feel that I was on the brink of convincing him. It was a very strong statement.

Does adding a heated shrink sleeve really make a noticeable difference in game? (IG Radical Pro) (L5 vs L4+sleeve)

Changing your pallet is the best, but your rackets probably won’t be within the same spec anyways given quality control. If you’re lucky maybe they are. If you’re not anal and just go out and hit then you probably won’t notice and will worry more about hitting, but most of us on here are anal...

Racket recommendation for petite female beginner?

    Wilson clash, demo it.

    I need a recommendation for a beginner's racket for a woman

Demo Wilson, yonex and prince, they all have their lighter 100sqin frames. Like the Wilson ultra 100, yonex Ezone 100, and princes beast line. Choose multifilament if arm issue is of concern. See what feels good for her and purchase.

Replacing a grip / increasing size.

Grips are way thicker than overgrips. What you could do is get a replacement grip like Babolat syntec pro which is 1.90 and with overgrip it may be what you’re looking for. Grips are usually in the range of 1.5 to 2.00 is the majority there are grips that are way thinner and way bigger but to...

    Playing 7.0 mixed as a 4.0

I have a great time playing mixed. Being 4.5 and paired with 3.5, you need to strategize differently. The good ones constantly try to anticipate shots and change tactics as the match goes. I would say it’s made me a better player. I only encourage for my partner to keep going for their shots. To...

Great question seems easy but not . Softest polyester 16 gauge string sold ?

If you already have the tool that tells you what the softest string then didn’t you answer your own question? Since you did state, not based on feel but data. The only other place is stringforum.net

What your racquet says about you

Is it because you're the fully fitted person with all the matching gear from socks to dampner, but actually plays really well? Never said that it was the case 100% of the time. No different than the OP saying a golfer coming out with the newest iron's that are blades.

Lost feel, timing, coordination on serve after long layoff due to tennis elbow

You're thinking too much. If you knew how to serve at one time. Let the muscle memory come back. Don't think about the mechanics, focus on the sensation/feeling. Picture yourself serving and then once you have that image, just toss and hit the ball and pay attention on the feeling. It's like...
