How to use the starting clamp

My eagnas clamp is somewhat smooth as well, no appreciable etching etc. Not slick smooth, but no dusting, crossmarks or whathaveya. Works fine.

How to use the starting clamp

Bought it from Eagnas, but the clamps appear to be the same. That doesn't mean they are always sourced or built the same. Who knows....

How to use the starting clamp

The Eagnas/Pro's Pro clamp works fine and is inexpensive, holds strong. I have a Gamma, an Eagnas and a Babolat. They all work fine.

Credibility here continues to shrink with a large percentage of posts, ahem....., which is a large percentage of way too many to begin with.

NXT drop weight vs electronic with prestretch

Machine will pay for itself within a couple years or so, even stringing minimally. My guess is that you'll string more often once you have a machine (for friends etc) and it'll pay for itself even quicker. Nothing wrong with a simple DW machine with flying clamps, even though most on here have...

    Fixed clamps when stringing crosses

With a FC machine, the clamps USUALLY ride up and down a track along each side of the frame so they won't reach both sides........so both are used. There are a few machines out there where the clamp will reach both sides (guide rail machines such as the NEOS 1000, older Gamma Machines, etc, as...

He definitely wins the most frequent poster award. I assume that's what you mean. Occasionally, he provides some good insight too.

Sorry, stringing a misweave is YOUR fault no matter who provided the string. That is just asinine.

Help with Nat Gut stringing for 18x20

Or just cut it in half. ^^^^ (you could try it with some cheap syngut first, to be sure). If you are using premium NG you likely have more than 40 feet. (The cheap stuff i'd guess not)

Help with Nat Gut stringing for 18x20

I often did this with my microgel radicals 18x20. I also used the cheap india gut so there is no extra. It worked, but just barely. Sometimes i had to forego the diablo and had to bridge a few times, but i always got it done.

    stringing cost

$15 for labor. For string i charge my cost and round up to the nearest $5 (i'm not trying to sell string), just for ease of exchange.

Taking off shrink wrap grip sleeve size-upper

You're weird. They are all super sharp. The sharper the better, just don't cut too deep. Most folks refer to carpet knives, box cutters, utility knives all the same. they are all sharp when fresh. Same as an x-acto. This is a SUPER simple task. I mean, like....VERY easy.

Taking off shrink wrap grip sleeve size-upper

Carpet knife/box cutter should work fine. AS Irvin stated the obvious, don't cut too deep.

Using a starting pin with Stringway clamps

Nah. Also, a starting knot is harder on the grommets. Every other knot is tied off in the same fashion, (with a finishing knot) so no need to worry about doing the starting cross the same way.

Using a starting pin with Stringway clamps

I use a starting clamp outside the frame all of the time when starting crosses. I don't see why not. What's the hangup? It's placed on the bumperguard.

Using a starting pin with Stringway clamps

I finally looked up and figured out what a starting pin was, always wondered (and I even had a K-mate many years ago, but never used one. Can't remember my starting method, but it wasn't a pin). Wow, wish i could recall what i did......but it wasn't that.

    Can dumb people learn stringing?

It's not hard to be good. It's not hard to be fast. It's not easy to be fast AND good, IMO. I see pro shop work/pro work that isn't very good....and i see it often. I only string because it makes sense to me as a player (and friend of players).

What kind of knot do you use when stretching a string?

it's 100% effective. Perhaps he pulls twice as hard as you do. Yes, doubling a string and pulling yields 50% of the effort, but for a pre-stretch.....perhaps that is plenty. I say yes. Yes it is.

you've mentioned lots of things which illustrate your ignorance of the craft, so yes I'm sure you also mentioned this.
