Prince Textreme Tour 95 string recommendations

I played with this for years going back to the Rebel 95. Although I don't anymore (Prince Tour Pro 98), I seem to remember using several setups depending on what I was doing. When I was feeding balls, I used NXT 17g @ 55 lbs. It was really a nice setup. For more competitive situations, I used...

I hear we are going to be neighbors

I've heard the TW is opening up a distribution center in the Atlanta area. Will this be a place that the public can physically shop at or will it only be used as an east coast distribution area? Thanks, Toby

Tennis Warehouse: Gamma Moto Soft Playtest

I received my set and have strung up a MG Radical MP at my normal tension. I've had a brief hit. It is certainly soft, but also has more pop than the ploys I usually use. I'm hoping it plays a little deader next time out.....

replacement Grips: ResiPro vs. Hydrosorb Tour

I prefer the resiPro. It has a firmer feel and better tack if not using an over grip.

Prince exo3 graphite 100 grommet replacement?

Yes, it's an exact fit. This is for the ports pieces only, I'm not sure about the head guard piece. I never tried to switch those.

Then you can get two sets if mains out of one pack.

Prince exo3 graphite 100 grommet replacement?

I know of another Prince frame whose grommets work in your stick. The EXO3 Tour 100 grommets work. The only difference is the piece in the throat area are a little different, but they still fit. I used to use the Graphite 100's string hole grommets in my Tour 100s In fact, I may still have...

Who finds playing competitive matches stressful?

I rarely play matches that count any more. I've been through it all. In all honesty, Id much rather just have a hit instead of playing an actual match. It's much more relaxing which is what I prefer to get from the game. I still play practice sets weekly which is fine as they are more for...

Best Silver Poly? (just for fun)

Tour bite is a good one if your arm can handle it.

Elbow issues and RPM blast. What now?

I would just stick with synthetic gut. The benefits of poly are really only found with high level players. Unless you are a boarder line 4.5 or higher, your game will be better of without poly. Now that I have this out of the way, if you still want to give the poly a try, string it much lower...

    Launch angle

I'm not sure about the numbers, but I do know that I do have an adjustment period when I use one of my sticks strung with kevlar as the ball launches much lower

Has anyone tested all or most of the spin racquets?

You are right about the Warrior. The fact that it has more cross strings seem to keep the ball from trampolining too badly. And yes, also low tension poly also can also cause some launchers too.

String tension for a Prince Response 97?

Ahhhhh! I missed it. I would just to lower tension by 2 lbs then. I've hit with this stick plenty of times. Tension is an individual thing. Some like it tight and others lose. I like tight strings as I like to feel the ball flatten out against the bed. 55 lbs felt fine to me on the 97.

Has anyone tested all or most of the spin racquets?

I'm not debating that the technology works. I know it does. These shots you are giving for example are most likely when a player is balanced and in total control of the racquet. Unfortunately, to be a successful player there times when you are off balance or scrambling for balls. This is when...

Has anyone tested all or most of the spin racquets?

I agree as well. Unless you have a lot of bat speed on a consistent basis your game will suffer. These sticks are great for these types of players and that's usually 4.0+ and I wouldn't think many 4.0s are really ready for this type of stick. I've played with all of them and think that the...

Advice for a newb in the market for a racket

I have a few questions first before I can help you. How long have you been playing? How athletic are you? What play style of play do you employ or want to play ? what don't you like about your current racquet? As far as demos go, unless you have a really good store near you, it's hard to...

Does anyone black out racquets here?

I build guitars from scratch as my other hobby. I've done a few swirl top finishes with this method. They usually turn out pretty good. It's hard to get the mixture right the first few times though. So be warned if you try this method.

String tension for a Prince Response 97?

You didn't mention what string you were using. First of all, you can't compare the two Prince sticks as they are different head sizes and different string patterns. So of course they would feel differently strung at the same tension. The Response has a more dense string pattern which we also...

    Alternative To Dunlop Silk

The Silk was probably strung to tightly. I have experienced this from factory strung Dunlop demos as well. There are a number of strings that are similar to Silk if not better. My favorite multi is NXT, but it is a little pricey. Tecnifibre Multi-feel is a very nice multi at a reasonable price...

90 square inch too small for modern game?

I always look at the wear patterns on my strings. When I'm using a multi or full gut, you can tell where you are making contact the majority of the time. My contact point is less than the size of a standard coffee mug. If you play enough a 90 is fine. I think that if you are a consistent hitter...

Plush players racquets 3.5 to 4.0 level

Certainly is a great choice. I've been hitting one off and on for about two weeks now. I've tried some lead, but so far I prefer it stock. I've had no issues against heavy hitters either. Do you add lead Struggle?

    Head LiquidMetal Radical OS

They are indeed. They were the last Radical OS sticks that I was able to play with stock without adding a ton of lead. Solid feeling sticks for sure. the flexpoint was ok, but the OS lost a lot in my book after the LM. They were too light and hollow feeling. The Radical MP versions didn't go...
