Head Radical MP & Speed Pro Customization recommendations

not sure ow big of serves you're talking about, but weight at 3/9 will ideally reduce fluttering of the racquet on off-center hits and will not increase SW as much if you added it to 12.

Head Radical MP & Speed Pro Customization recommendations

For most radicals I find adding a little bit of weight at 3/9 (maybe 3g each) plus a decent amount of weight (tungsten putty) in the handle to make it more headlight has usually yielded pretty good results. Not as much experience with the speed.

    Yonex Vcore Pro 97

what's your current racquet/string combo and tension. what sort of feel are you looking for in your stringbed? I find the YPTP to be a relatively softer poly.

Dunlop Srixon Revo CV 3.0 F Tour

So had the opportunity to try the racquet this afternoon, will have a few more sessions with it in the coming days. As a bit of background, i have typically gravitated towards more player-type racquets (Head Prestige MP, Ti.Radical MP, Volkl C10, Dunlop Srixon Revo 2.0 Tour, etc). It was not...

So does anyone make a head-heavy racquet anymore?

Demo might be hard to come by, unless maybe you know of a pro shop that keeps older racquets around as loaners as this racquet is now close to 2-3 product cycles old. If you’re patient/savvy you can find these new for about $100 or less, used would be even cheaper. For a thin beam racquet, it...

So does anyone make a head-heavy racquet anymore?

Take a look at the 2015 version of the Wilson Pro Staff 97S. even balance, comes in around 11.5oz strung. it came with a leather grip, which i assume if you replaced with non-leather would then make it a little lighter and tip it to head heavy. of course, you'd also need to get along with...

    Grinding racquet handle?

without know much about what you have or have not tried yet, couple of suggestions. have you tried a thinner overgrip? I know Kimony makes a pretty thin leather grip. are you doing this to a newer racquet or an older racquet? i only ask because if you are doing this to an older one, it might...

Shoes to fit with ankle brace

Look at the new Diadora Speed BlueShield Fly. If you look at the 'Fit Details' TW provides on the right side of the page, it calls out specifically in the Width description they recommend for people with wide ankles or wear ankle braces. Alternatively, you could look at the Wilson Amplifeel...

    Power crave ... racquet search

It's funny - there must be something in the water, but i have been contemplating trying out some more powerful racquets to see if i might make a switch. other than the ones listed here (Volkl in particular although i will probably wait for the new line to come out this spring) here's the list i...

    Yonex Poly Tour Strike

I'll just say when i saw the price of the Tour Drive i was like WTF...but then i saw what they charged for Poly Tour Pro, Hyper G and other strings and there was a significant markup relative to prices you would find online. If i reduced the price of all of those strings and then applied the...
