Making what up? and I ask you not to use such offensive language...there is no reason for the general personal attacks....if you have a specific issue to address, then by all means, we can cover that.

believe what you like, but if I was an MTM coach according to you, I'd be saying Oscar invented everything, right? lol..... but yes, I do use several of the MTM principles, like the one recently verified by Gordon PHD where you come towards contact in a near linear fashion, then begin to arc the...

    It's all about the finish!

Let me give you some support here and show you that you are likely more correct than you realize. There are quite a few quality ways to finish and the phrase, "The finish shapes the shot", comes into play in knowing what type of finish you should use. You are focused on one type finish and...

I also have top national jrs and pros as clients, but you are right it isn't the same. I'm helping players on here for free while these guys are generally hyping flawed basic items as the next thing like the sham wow salesman. I don't have a problem with them doing it, and the sham wow did...

    Inconsistent Forehand

and you see that really in that bottom graph, there are only 2-6 balls that are truly deep, past the 3-4' from the baseline mark. We can see here that easily 80%+ of the shots land well short of what is traditionally seen as excellent depth. **Also a huge factor Imo, is they don't show all the...

    Inconsistent Forehand

I say don't miss, but if you do miss, it should be wide, trying to take your opponent off the court instead of trying to hit thru someone. You can only hit thru far weaker players or when 2 players lock up doing the same style.

Maybe you are right, but how can you be "Early" and have a smooth timing on your stroke. Seems you are talking about good solid timing and not early or late...

    Inconsistent Forehand

Sure, but also, the deeper you hit, the more often you will miss long so that they don't need to move you around anymore.

    Inconsistent Forehand

Yes, you really got some great feedback and impressive how this forum has become such an improved source of advice! I liked the 3 above best and feel what they are saying is that you need to have a more true "rally ball" from the area you were hitting. My comment would be that the reason you are...

    String tension and topspin

and that is why it is a balancing act to find how low you can keep tension without beginning to force yourself to slow your swing to maintain control......unless protecting the arm is such a big issue that slowing the swing is worth it to protect arm health. Imo in most cases arm health is about...

    String tension and topspin

just shooting from the hip on this one, but Imo, with the tighter tensions you can swing much faster without loosing control, thus create more "usable", controllable topspin.

    The Swivel

Actually no, very different. First off, I don't think I ever claim to be the the first to do something. Maybe I've made that mistake along the way a few times, but the way I see it, most everything has been done before in sports like tennis, and probably by more than one person. Unlike these...

Another take on ATP versus WTA Forehand (TPA Tennis)

Well, you are right that the form that we now call the ATP or Timing Enhanced Fh has been in the game longer than you might expect in both the women's and men's game, but not right about the best young players, as Fed and Nadal both played early teens with a version that would fall on the WTA...

Drastically improved my serve this summer

good catch on the shoulder positioning, as that is a bit odd with someone doing so many other things well as you did. Imo you shouldn't just think about it as shoulders, but also the elbows....meaning notice how the hitting elbow should stay inline with the plane of the shoulders, extending that...

    The Swivel

in this application, it is about 2 things switching positions by rotating around an axis. The rackethead swivels from high to low around the hand position as the elbow swivels up, replacing the RH high position as the RH swivels down into the drop.

Drastically improved my serve this summer

but I'm asking how clear you are on the optimal location for your toss....it can't become automatic until you are clear on where (pretty exactly) it should go up and how it should come down....

Another take on ATP versus WTA Forehand (TPA Tennis)

Macci doesn't really get the ATP either, but does a fairly good job of repeating what Gordon shared with him on how to do it.
  23. 5263

    The Swivel

I'd say it is more the other way around and that as the launch of leg drive starts up, the hitting shoulder is working to power the elbow upwards on top of the leg drive up....this takes effort....the hand is close to the swivel point and doesn't really move that much, and mostly only goes down...

    The Swivel

Some of you may remember when I wrote of how the "Swivel" is an update that I noticed to the flip for the ATP Fh about 10 yrs ago and before some of the pros like Fed had even started using it. But I actually first taught how there was a "Swivel" in the serving motion as far back as the 02-03...

thats great once you have the toss in the right place, but clearing the mind doesn't help when you have a bad toss....if you still hit it, you are just practicing compensations.
