Why are CA gas prices going through the roof?

It would be a bit surprising if he has no connections to Russian banking sources seeing as he's borrowed from them. I suspect his tax returns will simply be more of an embarrassment for Trump than any realization of Russian tampering, though. It seems unlikely he is a billionaire as he claims...

Why are CA gas prices going through the roof?

They need to make the sun bigger. It's a huge undertaking.

Sometimes folks ask me what's wrong with my Ducati. Why am I riding the Harley. I'm riding the Harley because there's nothing wrong with it either. Both are great bikes in their own right. Not everyone or everything is one-dimensional.

Judging by the photos and the reviews, one of the WIlson starter foam balls seem to be about the same. QST 36 balls are often 7cm, tho, and softer foam from what I can see. https://www.amazon.com/Wilson-Starter-Foam-Tennis-Balls/dp/B003F4MNKI Shipping from the UK for TT or ZSIG versions might...

    Touch Tennis

It's autumn here and the weather is going cool. Spending as much time on the small courts as the big ones because the bounce is a lot better. Our mini courts aren't the exact dimensions for TT, but close enough for us to enjoy ourselves.

Check out these old greats on vid

Gene also had a two handed forehand. I always thought that was a bit crazy. He made is as high as 5th in the rankings, too. HAs anyone posted this one? WImby has been releasing some pretty good quality old stuff lately:

    similar racquet to six.one 95s

String your 6-1 with ALU at less than 50# if ya want a larger sweet spot. Most other sticks of that type, like the Dunlop copies, are similar. If the stiffness is what's bothering you, there are a few generations and version of the 6-1 that aren't so stiff.

    Artificial Grass with Sand Surface...

I think you'll also find that folks generally prefer the surface they've learned how to play on; whether clay or hard or grass or carpet or synth grass or har tru or whatever.

    Artificial Grass with Sand Surface...

The courts still 'work' when the sand is gone(it compacts into the carpet). It's actually decent when it's in great condition. Now, if you'll permit me to whinge a bit... But the bounce goes way down after a couple of months, and the speed(which starts fast) goes up shortly afterwards if it...

    Artificial Grass with Sand Surface...

It is a common surface in Europe, especially UK and Ireland as well as Japan. What you see in the vid above is how much sand they are meant to have. But they almost never have that much on them in practice here(looking at YOU tennis clubs in Ireland). I would consider it a fast surface that...

Jack Sock at risk of being completely unranked due to mediocre performances this year - was top 10 less than 2 years ago

He's got a hell of a lot more than all of us have. Not too bad for a kid.

If you break strings, get a stringing machine and find an affordable string you enjoy playing with.

From Babolat PD to Wilson RF97 good for my wrist?

If you have wrist pain, or injury, seeing a doctor is the most important thing you can do. After that, see a tennis instructor and inform them of the injury and ask what can be done.

The Pros are going to have to start playing with wooden racquets again

It has everything to do with wooden racquets as a topic. Like most other sports, it wasn't simply one thing that changed to bring it in to the modern era. When wooden racquets were the norm, it was a different game, different surfaces, different balls(even a different color - it's not washed out...

Low, low tensions. 30lbs feels great. 20lbs pretty good, too

Hyper G is a very square shaped copoly. I've not liked any shaped polys at low tensions other than Hurricane - which is almost round by comparison. And when I use Hurricane, I use the 15G version. I prefer 4G to it for crosses, tho. In the three open string pattern spin effect racquets I have...

Low, low tensions. 30lbs feels great. 20lbs pretty good, too

As Irvin stated, it depends on the poly. And as the article states, it's dependant upon the player as well. Nadal strings in the 50's and Sock strings in the mid 30's. Yet they both generate the same spin on their forehands. It looks to me that Sock started playing with gut/poly after spending...

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

Many of the stiff polys, regardless of brand, are a huge pain to string. I occasionally try to go 2 rows ahead to see if it helps(it mostly is just as much pain). What impresses me is how easy it is to string BBO, ALU, and Hurricane by comparison. Too bad they are hugely expensive for a roll of...

Normal for winner to get fresh can of balls from loser?

Are tennis balls rare in some places? I've always opened a new can or two every match. Unless I am hitting a wall, or a machine, I always open a new can for practice as well.

The Pros are going to have to start playing with wooden racquets again

I don't have to. I was there, and enjoyed every moment. It's refreshing seeing attacking tennis VS defensive tennis. There's a lot more tension and anticipation in the game. The points are so explosive. Quite a difference between this and the rallying game we have now. If you watch while...

Low, low tensions. 30lbs feels great. 20lbs pretty good, too

Below 40#, most stiff strings will give a good deal of vibration. I use thick rubber bands tied on the mains to cool this.

Low, low tensions. 30lbs feels great. 20lbs pretty good, too

I ran a PD weighted to 345grams with Luxilon BBO at 36X40 and found it low powered, but high in control and spin. If you need your racquet and strings to be powerful, you may want to use tensions well above 40#.

Greatest forehand of all time! Not greatest ground game or greatest baseliner.

It was a hugely different time. Back then grass was king. Everyone watched Wimby. Many players were specialized fast courters - serve and volleyers. Quick thinking, strategy, volleying and serve placement were everything. Gut strings and small, heavy racquets with tiny sweet spots abounded. Then...

Poly strings save tennis from servebots - Myth or fact?

Tennis never needed saving. We've always had slow hard and clay courts. We used to have fast courts. We used to have a very diverse game. Now every player mostly has to play the same game. Better? Seems unlikely. Kuerten does go on record saying he was amazed poly strings were legal. He should...
