Cool that you like the racket! your arm will thank you for sure. My 100 is great. I have never played as good before and the best part is, no pain afterwards.

Cool. That's good to hear. Cause I remember that on some volleys even the 100 gave me a bit of a problem as it was not stable enough. But then again, my volleying sucks. Does it have a different balance?

Changing the shipping method without information?

If I might add a warning to everyone regarding ordering from non-EU/EEC countries. The EU has changed the values where import customs clearance is not recquired multiple times. A few years it was 150EUR, now it's 20EUR. The problem with that is not the actual duties but the customs...

    Official Wilson Clash thread

I see that the cyclone recommended tension is 22-26kgs. So I can see how it might not work at 20.5 kgs. What I read, the recommended tension is there as the string loses its qualities otherwise. Physics and whatnot...

Companies should make extra low powered racquets for beginners.

Well, I learned on a Pure Aero which is considered a powerful racket afaik. What it taught me was to use spin. No spin = back fence. Therefore I needed spin. Then all my balls fell behind the net. Then I needed to add more depth. And now it's starting to even out. Some balls still go 1m long...

20.5 kg is very low imo for the racket. It’s quite powerful. I know the recommended tension is very low but if you string at 20.5, by the time you hit the court its probably 18kg. Excellent power but not much control there imo. I strung it at 22kg. I seem to get enough power and control there...

What what kind of string are you using? I have mav focus hex soft in it and I feel like the control is great.

    Comfortable racket

Lead tape in the bag for testing over the weekend, overgrip is always on anyway. So I am sure that adds a few tiny grams already.

    Comfortable racket

I changed from the Pure Aero to the Clash because of the same issues. I tested the Clash 100, Clash 100 Tour, Head Gravity MP but since I liked the Clash 100 so much, I just switched to it without further testing. It plays quite similar to the Pure Aero imo but is much MUCH easier on the body...

    Should beginners restring rackets?

Good point. Since the strings do contact the ball directly, I guess that’s the most important thing when it comes to absorbing shock. I know it is not, but clash also has a lot of power which I heard flexy frames usually don’t. Never tried any others though.

    Should beginners restring rackets?

The Pure Aero is on its way out. Nobody warned me when I started and I got it cheap. Can sell it for the same. Getting the clash 100 today, strung with wilson sensation. I heard it’s as arm friendly as they come and I liked it when I tested it. No pain whatsoever for the first time. It was...

    Should beginners restring rackets?

Ok so the re-cap would be something like; -if you’re serious about tennis and like spin, re-string poly quite often as it will help you be consistent and therefore improve somewhat faster. -if you play for fun and are not that focused on spin and want a comfortable setup then go with a good...

    Should beginners restring rackets?

I currently use the previous Pure Aero. Not as much control as I’d like but I am sure it’s part due to my lack of skill. It does help me with its power though since that’s what I lack the most and work on the most. I do like the spin though. Im good at it. Better than most rec players around so...

    Should beginners restring rackets?

You basically negated the first part of your post with the second. Not sure what you’re trying to say. To put this in perspective. My goals are as follows; -have a comfortable setup that will help me stay healthy (elbow hurts more, the better I get. I guess cause I hit harder even thought more...

    Should beginners restring rackets?

Thanks! I have some MSV Focus Hex Soft on the way. Got it fairly cheap imo at 6EUR per pack. Apparently it's supposed to be very comfortable and at 6EUR per pack I can afford to re-string it more often than for exmple the above suggested Wilson NXT or something like that.

    Should beginners restring rackets?

I will look into getting some multi. I found that my coach does not know much about strings and other technical stuff. My thought is that he should not have strung my racket with poly. Also the Pure Aero was probably not the best choice. Grip is too big as well (4). But i got it really cheap so...

    Should beginners restring rackets?

Hi, could not find anything on if beginners should also restring rackets same as more advanced players. So my questions is, as a beginner should I also have my racket restrung? Or should I just play until it breaks and not care about the tension/feel? I am getting **** from other beginners...

    Black Friday string hoax

We have that kind of protection here as well. But there is a workaround...increase the price for the 2 weeks prior (which is usually when people start checking) to Black Friday (which is rly an american thing, why do we even have it?!?) and then claim 80% discounts. The sad reality is that...

    Black Friday string hoax

They always advertise the discount on the basis of the MSRP. Which is ALWAYS higher than what they normally sell it for. So either check prices with a website time machine or start checking prices 3 weeks before black friday to see how much the discount really is. Usually not very much. It's...

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

I am not. I dont even have the racket yet. I am just looking at options. I am not sure 10g’s in the hoop alone will work. Would probably jave to balance it out a bit?

Might be a good solution indeed. Stuff it in foam and then it should stay put.

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

Yeah that is one my concerns with lead tape inside the handle...i should put it all around the handle evenly right? 4 sides equally?

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking of lead tape in the handle of the Clash. I am sure the Clash does not need further shock absorption. And yeah the silicone packets might be annoying with the mass shifting all over the place. Not sure that would be a good idea tbh.

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

Yeah the test one is also chipped some. Not too bad though. I might get a custom one when I am in the US next or my brother comes visit home. I’d love to have one in all black gloss or something My arms are finally not aching after 2 weeks now that I played with the clash yesterday. Does...

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

Why do you recommend that? I am used too 100inch heads and also the trend nowadays i towards bigger racket head sizes as far as I can see... I play semi-western with a pretty decent amount of spin.

CLASH 100 VS CLASH 100 TOUR

Hi everyone, I've hit for a bit with both Clash 100 first and found it too light. Then I hit with the 100 Tour yesterday and it felt pretty good, yet a tiny bit less maneuverable. I found myself be late on some balls, although it might just be my tiredness on that particular day. I currently...
