Which is the softer feeling racket? (I know same RA) but I’ve seen Tennisnerd say Gen 2 is softer and Chris say Gen 2 is crisper. So I’m interested in peoples opinions.

Best thing I did was wrap some surgical tape around the bottom to emphasise the handle buttcap area. Makes it much easier to hold onto

Update, managed to get my money back on the Clash 98 v2. Not sure if I got a dud but was so disappointed with the arm friendliness, false advertising really.

Glad it's not just me then, I do get arm pain with other rackets but not like this it was agony.

hilarious! Of course I saw the RA but 60 should not be giving me arm pain. It’s still much lower than most rackets and the clash is supposed to prevent arm pain. Anyway, can anyone answer, have they had arm pain with the 98v2?

Is it just me or is the 98v2 not that comfortable on the arm? Getting a lot of arm pain with it although maybe it’s just the weight.

Was wondering if we could get a list going of any 16x20 rackets people know of. A rare breed of string pattern but loving it in my Clash 98 and also remember loving it in the Yonex Vcore SV back in the day. Would like to try out some more so any suggestions welcome!

Tf40 55lbs hybrid of the above strings. Thinking I should go lower as do get arm pain

I’ve got some MSV co-focus I want to try out on this racket (currently using it hybrid with focus hex but want to try full bed). What tension would people recommend, I’m thinking around 48lbs judging by this thread?

This isn’t particularly arm friendly either, it’s not too bad in that department but nowhere near one of the best in that regard like some are trying to make out!

It’s funny you ask this as I’m surprised how little talk this racket gets. Now the hype has died down it seems to be not talked about at all. It only released recently too!

Update - no pain from premier control strings, also now tried MSV focus hex and didn’t feel pain. I think the strings I had must have suddenly died, but not ever had that before where it was sudden crippling pain from nowhere!

interesting, I did try the 7th gen 16x19 but as I’ve said I don’t like that string pattern for my game, I’m leaning towards the 18x20 as the one I may add to my bag.

do you find it softer? I don’t think gen one is a harsh racket by any means, just not soft enough for me and my game with poly.

I have changed from poly to Prince premier control multi, just would rather play with poly. Got a match tonight will see how it goes!

Love my tf40 305s 18x20 first gen but they do give me some arm pain. I’ve been doing some research and Blade 18x20, Head Gravity Tour and Head Speed pro seem super close in specs. Anyone who has played any of these compared to TF40 how did they find the difference in comfort? I don’t really...

Love my tf40 a lot but may get a V8 just as an extra. Like the fact it’s a little less stiff.

For all those using undersized grips welcome to golfers elbow club! Switched to a bigger grip and all my problems vanished.

A little update would be nice, I have two tf40s and don’t mind my third racket being a little different (I don’t think I’ve ever broken two strings in one match so it would only get used for fun anyway)
