This clip makes me feel sorry for Djokovic

Idk man, I think if anything the crowds lack of support will only lessen his time on the tour overall. Nobody likes to go to a job where they don't feel appreciated. That said he has done a great job of blocking it out and performing.

Prime Karlovic vs Prime Serena at the French Open - Only Serena Serves - Who Wins?

Karlovic is stronger off the ground than Serena? Damn that's rough.

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

I responded to this already somewhere above. Found it for you; Understood, and I'm not saying I have all the answers. Djokovic would be a good example of that. Spent a lot of his formative years in Serbia, but his current 'residence' is Monte Carlo for likely taxation reasons. Though I'm sure...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

Why can't I feel that it's weird and disloyal?

Very different moving at 14 than 3, but /shrug. Gray area I was referring to above.

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

You really think she would move if not allowed to play for Japan in the Olympics while living in the US? I think she would opt to stay and not play in the Olympics versus moving. There is a reason so many players live and train in Florida. Not saying it's impossible elsewhere, but she would be...

Understood, and I'm not saying I have all the answers. Djokovic would be a good example of that. Spent a lot of his formative years in Serbia, but his current 'residence' is Monte Carlo for likely taxation reasons. Though I'm sure he has homes all over the world, including Serbia. I think...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

Not saying current residence should be the sole factor, just one of many. My main point is that it's going to be weird seeing Osaka holding the Japanese flag next to say, I don't know, Sugita for example (knowing Sugita has spent the majority of his life in Japan).

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

    A) I've been specifically talking about the Olympics. How is it good for the US in the upcoming Olympics if one of the best womens tennis players in the US is playing for a different country? B) I'm not arguing playing in the Olympics for any country is a huge opportunity (and potentially once...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

Yes. I don't know much about the Olympic rules governing how you switch representation, but I feel current place of residence and where you've spent the large portion of your existence should play a factor. Otherwise why have it associated with the flags at all?

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

I don't think there's anything wrong with her moving to Japan and continuing her career as a professional tennis player. I do believe there is something wrong with A) remaining in the US and representing Japan or B) moving to a country the year before the Olympics and representing them when 90%+...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

What difference does it really make? I was born in the states. But what real difference would I feel as an adult if I had been born in Croatia and moved immediately after? I still feel like if I had been born in Croatia and spent 99% of my upbringing in the States I should have a loyalty and...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

My father was born in Croatia, I still don't believe I should have the ability to just decide to represent Croatia at the Olympics because my family hails from there. You don't choose where you're born, she didn't choose to leave Japan, but she has chosen to stay in the US. Just all seems very...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

I don't know why this bothers me, but it does. You shouldn't be able to just flip flop who you want to play for based on your chances of making an Olympic team or financial incentive. She has lived in the US since she was 3, trains in the US, and has won all of her majors while living in the US...

How many times did Fed shank a groundstroke in Wimbledon Final?

I don't know if any amount of headsize increase will reduce the shanking to be honest (disregard if new user troll post). Fed takes the ball early, and on grass sometimes the bounces are unpredictable. You're going to have the occasional shank when you play that way.

    Haha, Novak's mental training!

Makes me wonder if he (Djoker) will retire sooner than he would if the crowd actually showed him some appreciation. Gotta get old

Yeah but does that factor in expenses/taxes/etc? They could be making $30,000 at the end of it.

    Federer Wimbledon Kit

How they are doing this is truly puzzling. You would think if it was supposed to be limited stock they would jack up the prices to compensate for such few units, but to sell them cheaply just doesn't seem to make a ton of sense.

Why has Dimitrov not lived up to the hype?

This. His game may look roughly like Federer's, but what does he do better than even a 37ish year old Federer?

    Federer Wimbledon Kit

Right but do they usually make more product after selling out initially? I haven't been following all the previously released kits, just noticed this one sold out of many sizes in less than a day. Doesn't seem like they put much stock out there...

I saw several missed OHBH attempts from Tsonga, and some of them were puzzling. Why didn't he just hit two handers?
