    Prince Textreme 95 Discussion

I had a few more hitting sessions and this racket is becoming more precise than ever! I think this may be my next racket. It has less spin than my 6.1 but the accuracy and plow is addicting. I'm still trying to tune my slice but tried some touch/drop shots and it was amazing!

    Prince Textreme 95 Discussion

I am currently transitioning to the Txt95 from the blx 6.1 95. I enjoy the lighter feel of the Prince and precision shot making I am getting from it. I call it a sniper rifle. Just point and shoot! Although it is lighter than my Wilson, the stability and plow is still there. The Wilson has more...

amazed by durability of multi main/poly cross

What multi are you using for the mains? Every time I try a new multi with a poly cross, the multi breaks within an hour! Durability is horrible as a main hybrid for me. I've even tried a thick Guage with same results. My level is 4.5. What is yours?

Del Potro still using K factor six one 95?

Hes using a Prostaff 97 PJ on his rackets at the BNP tourney. But you can tell it's a 95 Sq head with parimeter weights. So it's not the PS97. What's under the paint is the mystery. Dimitrov looks like a 95 with parimeter weights as well on his black prototype. So that is also not a PS97...

Similar String to Ytex Quadro Twist

So do you play with Volkl rackets? If not, why change? Quadro Twist is the poly that all polys are trying to achieve. (Spin, power, comfort, control & great tension maintainance: ALL in 1!) Rated #2 overALL strings by RSI.

    Taming the liveliness of a 6.1 95 (16x18)?

For a full poly set up, I've had the best results taming my 16x18 with YTEX Quadro Twist at 52 lbs or Wilson Ripspin at 56lbs. I get sick spin and arc on the ball with these strings.

Tour Bite and Poly Tour Pro together in 1 String?

Crosses strung higher than the mains have always felt poor to me. Lower tension crosses always play better for me.

Tour Bite and Poly Tour Pro together in 1 String?

Try Ytex Square X. It is square profile like tour bite but much softer and solid. Also plays better at lower tensions (52 or lower) and has great tension maintenance.

Poly cross for Natural Gut mains: Textured or Round?

Tour pros get fresh free string jobs all day. Us little mortals don't have that luxury. I don't have the luxury to experiment with really textured crosses because if it does saw into the gut faster, I'm out $24 bucks faster! Hence my poll. I am just curious why the Wilson & Babolat hybrid...

Poly cross for Natural Gut mains: Textured or Round?

As of now, the clear leader is Round. But riddle me this, if round is the consensus and truth, why is it that Wilson and Babolat chose a textured poly in their hybrid sets? (Alu rough & RPM blast) This should be an interesting response.

    YTex Quadro Twist "reviews wanted"

I am currently playtesting the Quadro twist. Quadro twist has been better at tension maintenance . BHB7 loss tension too quickly for my liking therefore loss of control. I could only get 6 hours of play from BHB7. So far quadro twist is actually playing better as it settles in. Spin is...

    6.1 95 (16x18) vs TF320 & 325

I have played with the 2012 6.1 95 and the 2012 TF320 16x19. The 6.1 is more solid and has more heft and stability. The TF320 felt too hollow and lacked stability. I chose the 6.1 over the TF320 because of those reasons.

    Wilson 6.1 95 18x20 arm-friendliness

I use the 16x18 6.1 and have no arm problems whatsoever. I even use a full poly set up, where in the past with other rackets, I had to use a hybrid poly/syn cross for extra comfort. But with the 18x20 pattern, possibly lower tensions may be better.

Pro Staff 97 in Hand !

Well it is OFFICIAL. It was confirmed by TW and Wilson that there is NO Amplifeel in the new 97 Pro Staff line of rackets! That confirms my feedback on the RAW feel I felt with this frame. Too bad, I think it would have been great if it did have the Amplifeel handles. I just don't understand why...

Wilson Six One Problem: Too powerful!!!

I use the 16x18 string pattern and at first had issues with the controlling the power of this frame as well. My solution was to find a lower powered poly vs. increasing tension on a higher powered poly. So far, I am satisfied on how Wilson Ripspin @ 56lbs performs in this racket. It helps...

Review: Wilson Pro Staff 97 (315 gram version)

Does anyone notice there are NO amplifeel technology pallets on their PS97? Wilson says these are supposed to have the Amplifeel technology pallets as stated on their website. Mine does not.

Ok I decided to try out the racket at Stock specs since I didn't do that originally. I am hoping the more HH balance helps get the racket down easier on my serves. But here is the one thing that is still puzzling me. According to the Wilson description of this racket, there is suppose to be...

So I had another hit, this time doubles, and have some feedback on doubles play. I think this PS97 mold was made for net play. Volleys are extremely solid and it is very maneuverable and has great directional control. I really enjoyed this at net. But on the negative side, I was really...

Pro Staff 97 in Hand !

The 2.5g less weight isn't the issue. It's the 2 pts balance that I am most annoyed with. Adding 2.5g to the handle will not come close to increasing the balance point of 2. I own the PS85 and the POG rackets. Those are 18mm beams and definitely have more of a BOX shape beam because of the...
