Anyone pre-weave the WHOLE racquet before pulling tension?

I meant swaying as in when you are pulling the cross through and pushing it back and forth on the mains, the friction build up turns the table annoyingly, so locking it down prevents this. I think he meant mounting with the handle facing away from me instead of towards me as being "upside...

Anyone pre-weave the WHOLE racquet before pulling tension?

That way the table doesnt sway back and forth when you are pulling the crosses. I think it speeds me up because I am not correcting or bracing the table with my body or hands as I pull the next cross. And yes I have heard of mounting the racquet butt cap upright, honestly I forget about it...

    Alternatives to Squats

Knee sleeves won't correct improper form, they may just mask the symptoms by compressing the muscles within the knee joint. I am a personal trainer and tennis coach and I would recommend Bulgarian Split Squats as the most tennis-related leg exercise. There are many progressions to this lift, and...

Does this make sense? (string change)

Alright so like everyone else, I primarily use soft copolys (weisscannon SS happens to be my favorite). I'm thinking of switching to a regular syn gut due to the fact that I want to get more speed on my serve and groundies. I know the old addage that strings don't really make a difference its...

Dunlop Aerogel 200 (18x20) String Cut Length

It depends on the string type. If its a syn gut or multi, then you can get by with 38ft 6in for a 1 piece. For a poly, you should take 39 or more. If you've got a starting clamp, you can get by with taking 6 or so inches less because you can use it as a jumper.

    Cyberflash vs. Silverstring

I personally like Silverstring a lot better than CF. It's kind of weird though because I bought a reel of CF 1.20, but I've had so many problems with it breaking prematurely. 3 times by me and twice by people I string for that has happened, so its hard to get a good sense of a string when it...

    Serve Videos for Critique

I'll take some footage of my practice today and try what you said. Thanks for the help. And yeah, I've been looking a lot at some high speed footage of pros and then comparing it to slow mo of me. I'm doing some things right but I need to explode up into the ball more.

    Serve Videos for Critique

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know its a little inconsistent. I have served from age 10 - about age 15 with a weird pattycake serve. I got some help and have simplified it, but its just gonna take time. Thank you for the reply though.

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

Hey guys thanks for all the help. Just an update, I've improved a lot as far as my serve %. Still not where I want to be ideally but pretty good. I think some of it part practice/part mental. Almost everyone on my HS team came in with weak 2nd serves. The coaches realized this and came up with...

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

I agree and disagree with your assessment. Your probably right about me thinking too much about all the different aspects of the serve. I should just go out there and let my body take over. But I don't really agree with the statement that the serve is just there to start the point. If you just...

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

Yeah for sure. My old coach helped me a lot more than my HS coach has, which is understandable because he's got 14 kids to watch and a lot of bookkeeping stuff to handle. My old coach really put it into perspective when he said that he only hits his first serve maybe 2 times a game. I mean, this...

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

Yeah, I've practiced that a lot, and I'm at least holding serve more. I've been playing some lesser quality opponents though, now that I'm moving down the ladder, so I'm not sure if their comparable. But yeah, I've just been taking pace off and serving with more restraint.

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

Yeah, I try to vary my serve a lot. Sometimes I'll show him a kick out wide, and then once thats an ace or unreturned, then I'll pound a flat one right down the middle. And basicially, if I don't consciously think about my serve, then it tends to break down without me being able to pinpoint...

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

Yeah, I've tried that a lot, but I feel like if I don't go all out on a serve, its too easy on my opponent. But yeah like obviously when its 15-40, I don't want to be going with my hugest serve, although today I tried the exact opposite and I ended up getting like 8 or 9 aces on break points...

    Practice Serve vs. Match Serve

So, I'm having a lot of trouble with my serve lately. The last challenge match I played (I'm on high school varsity tennis) my first serve % had to be in the upper 30's to low 40's. Just a horrible day serving. Let a guy I should have easily beat 8-4 come up and beat me 9-7. The odd thing to...

    BSN supplements users

Probably better off following this advice. I've never taken NOX or any other N.O. supplement, but they are probably a waste of money in the long haul. I ought to try some of those green tea extract pills.

    BSN supplements users

I wouldnt use NOXplode after workouts, because it probably wouldn't do much. What you have described (NOX before, TM after) is probably the best route. I've heard its best to cycle the NOX like 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off or so. Your body builds up a tolerance to it and it doesn't produce as much as...

    ZipFizz

I was about to add some to my order from BB.com, but decided against it. Its probably healthier than the other energy drinks, but I wouldn't go over 2 a day. Also a little cheaper than most other drinks.

Why are Hollow Core sets less than reels?

I guess they figured whoever would waste their money on a reel of this string probably isn't smart enough to do the math! I kid, I kid. That is really weird, I've never seen it that happen.
