    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Finished my 8th outing with the blade 18X20 V8, and I have been enjoying it so far! If you think the V8 18X20 is less powerful and unstable, I would suggest you to drop the tension before you customize it with lead. I first strung it with hyper g 17ga at 50lb, and as the string was loosened...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Just finished my 6th outing with the blade v8 18X20, and my initial impression has not changed much: * The blade v8 18X20 is not at all a whippy frame, but it definitely feels head-lighter than the v7 18X20. * A little firmer and direct feeling than the very plush v7, and the ball pocketing...

Totally agree with you! No problem with him, but I just do not like his style of reviewing! Just too authoritative and judgmental review from a casual tennis player!:)

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

I have to say that I do not like his reviews. Of course, everyone's review is personal and subjective, but there are simply too much exaggerations in his reviews. And he tends to generalize his personal experiences with racquets and strings, ignoring or disregarding others' views. I know it is...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Just finished my 4th outing with the blade 18X20 v8, and I am loving it! Now I could describe V8 18X20 with two words: 'consistent' and 'predictable.' V8 does not possess inherent free power or plow-through due to the lack of the weight/mass of the head, but it can produce reliable shots during...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

I also switched to Tfight RS 305 about 3 months ago, and although the blade V8 18X20 is an awesome frame, I will not switch to it. Overall RS 305 is easier to play and it has more inherent power than the blade V8 18X20. The blade V8 18X20 is a great racquet when I just do regular rallies, but...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

I think both of them are comfortable to arm because of the low stiffness. I think both V7 and V8 are pretty comfortable to arms due to the low stiffness. V8 is just a tad easier to swing due to its lower swingweight. V7 felt super comfy and plush to me, but its heavier swingweight made my...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Second outing with the blade v8 18x20 yesterday, and this is my impression: * Like everyone said, V8 is a little lighter and more maneuverable, and it is easier to swing than V7. * The feel of V8 is a little firmer, direct, and clean than V7 which was super plush and muted to me. * V8 is not...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Played with the new blade 98 18X20 this morning, and this is my initial impression: This version is more user-friendly than V7 due to its lighter swingweight. The V7 felt tip heavy to me, and I think this new version is easier to swing due to the slight decrease of the weight from the tip of...

18x19 pattern Club - Djokovic, Medvedev, Agassi and...

I switched to the RS305 from the Pure Strike 16X19 2nd gen., and I am loving it. Yes, the RS305 is a control-oriented frame, and it has less power than the pure strike. But like the Blade 18X20, it still has a good amount of power from the mass of the frame. Also, it is a little stiffer than...

18x19 pattern Club - Djokovic, Medvedev, Agassi and...

I know feel is totally subjective, but the feel of the Tfight 305RS is similar to the 360+ Head Speed Pro that I previously demoed. The Blade 18X20 is comfy and muted, while the Tfight 305RS (and the Head Speed Pro) is comfy but clean and livelier. The Blade felt tip heavy to me, while the...

18x19 pattern Club - Djokovic, Medvedev, Agassi and...

I do not feel the Tfight RS305 sluggish, and compared to the blade 18X20, it is a little easier to swing. The main difference between the two seems to be the stiffness, and the relatively high stiffness of the Tfight RS305 gives a little more pop and livelier feeling in my opinion. I think the...

I am demoing the TF 305RS now, and yes, it is a great frame. Compared to the blade 18X20, it has more power and more lively feel. It has less power than my pure strike 16X19, but it definitely has more control and the ball trajectory is a little lower. It has a good spin potential and the...

    Technifibre TFight RS305 User?

I am currently demoing the TFight RS 305, and I like how it swings and the ball contact feel is great. It feels like a lighter version of the Head Gravity Pro that I demoed last year. I was worried about the high swing weight, but the frame is not at all sluggish. The demo frame is strung...

Pure Strike vs Pure Strike Tour

IMO the regular pure strike 16X19 (3rd) has enough mass and high swingweight for excellent stability. It is not so much whippy compared to the 2nd gen project one. If you really want a higher static weight as well as swingweight, go for the Tour, but I think the regular pure strike is already...

    HEAD Extreme 360+ tour club?

I have 2HBH and do not feel that the HET is unstable:) I think the lead will make the frame more stable and powerful for sure though. The spaces between main strings seem denser than other 98/305 frames, so the small spot might be felt smaller. That's why I think it would be better to drop...

    HEAD Extreme 360+ tour club?

I agree that the Head Extreme Tour has less power than many 98/305 frames, and it feels head-lighter than most of them. However, at the recreational level I do not feel to add weight to the frame for the stability reason. It has enough stability for not being easily pushed. If you need more...

    HEAD Extreme 360+ tour club?

This is just my personal opinion, but from my experience the Head Extreme Tour is less powerful than the Pure Strike, the Vcore 98, and the Blade 16X19. But, I do not think the Head Extreme Tour is an underpowered frame because you can produce faster swing due to its headlight balance...

    HEAD Extreme 360+ tour club?

I think in the stock form, the Head Extreme Tour has less power and mass than the Pure Strike, so I will string it a little lower. Probably gut as main at 52 and poly as cross at 49. I can even go lower because the control this frame gives is great.

    HEAD Extreme 360+ tour club?

Doing extended demo with the Head Extreme Tour, and so far so good! It feels lighter than the Pure Strike and the Blade, but it is whippy and stable at the same time! It has a very good power potential, and it is easy to generate both topspin and backhand slice. I think it is a very...

Head Gravity MP vs. Radical MP?

Thank you so much for your in depth review of both of the frames! This really helps! It is quite a bit of surprise that the swingweight of both of them is close to 330. The Radical MP I tried felt a little sluggish to me, and I am holding the Gravity MP now, and despite of its low static...

    HEAD Extreme 360+ tour club?

Playtested the Extreme Tour for the second time today, and it felt really good! I am currently using the Pure Strike 16X19 (Project One) and trying to find a replacement due to some elbow pain. The Extreme Tour felt lighter and easy to use, and it has a good power potential. Other than Head...

Head Gravity MP vs. Radical MP?

Thank you for sharing your thought! My demo of the Gravity MP arrived today and I plan to hit with it Thursday. I believe it is strung with Head Lynx Tour. I personally think Lynx Tour is a little too springy (it is not so powerful, but the feel is maybe too bouncy?), so can you suggest a...

Head Gravity MP vs. Radical MP?

Thank you so much for your feedback! I also love the old school feel and I am excited to test the Gravity MP this week! I have not played extensively with the old Radicals, but the new one feels powerful and a little stiffer than I like. I will report how the Gravity MP feels this week. Thanks!

Head Gravity MP vs. Radical MP?

I will be demoing the Gravity MP next week and will try to compare these two. The Radical MP that I demoed felt a little sluggish to me, and the head size seems almost 100 to me rather than 98. It has a great power potential, but what I am looking for now is a frame with less power and lighter...

Head 360+ Extreme MP vs. Pure Aero / Extreme Tour / Blade 16x19 v7

Head Gravity MP vs. Radical MP?

Hi, I wonder if any of you have tried both Gravity MP and Radical MP 2021. I am interested in these two frames, and last week I had a chance to hit with Radical MP. (I am currently using Pure Strike 16x19 2nd gen.) Radical MP 2021 was strung with Head Lynx Tour and it felt springy to me...

Anyone hit with the Radical MP and the Pure Strike 2nd gen 16X19? How powerful is the Radical MP? Does it have clean/crisp feel?

Wilson Blade v7 16/19 vs 18/20, what are the differences in feel and control?

I demoed both of them last year as well and I did not notice a big difference between them. 16X19 didn’t feel unstable and the launch angle was not extremely high at all. If you are concerned with swingweight, 16X19 would be a better option, and it has no less control than 18X20.
