    PD addiction but sensitive wrists!

Thanks but no multi or really soft poly as I want to get the most from the stick. As mentioned I don't have a wrist injury rather I want to avoid one by modding the stick itself if possible. So far I've have interesting advice from zoo and zalive so I'll give those a try. I had used the PD2012...

Trying to kill my arm with Kevlar serve vid

Your wind up is too fast and there's no trophy pose at all. Not sure how you manage to aim for the ball when the complete motion is so quick.

    27.5" for doubles specialists?

It would appear that around 30% of the top pros use some form or extended length so it's not surprising that a lot of single's players who dabble in doubles will use extended length.

    Yonex Duel G Weight Options

I think the Duel 330 and 310 are very different internally, similar to the VCTG and VCTHG. Even the PD and PDT are different internally. I had good success with modding the VCTG but I don't think the Duel310 will mod up well. I'll just get the 330 and play it stock. Since, you haven't tried...

Any RF97 or PS97S users try the DR98?

I've seen a couple of average players use it with some success but when I tried it, I didn't think much of it at all. I hit hard enough with a 18x20 and with the 16x19 I get enough spin on most sticks that I have no need for 16x18, 17/16 patterns. I haven't see many guys with well developed...

    Favourite racket technology?

I should sprinkle some dog fur on my stick and call it retrieval fibers. The racquet will catch the ball for you huh huh?? Too long a list of all the ridiculous terms but my fav is aero gel, not sure what space sponge is used for in a stick lol!

    Prestige - patterns and polarization

Every been to a restaurant where everything looks similar but tastes different on every visit? Racquet companies should learn from KFC and MacD in that we don't need or want unnecessary changes to sticks every year nor do we want sticks to be +-7g. Basically ever since the i series, most...

    Is there enough...

I'm not sure why or how the Ultra is more comfortable or safer than any other stick, when I demo it I didn't think it was any more comfortable than any of my other sticks. A Ki10, Ki5+, Q Tour (300), are sticks I'll rather mod than the Ultra 100.

Hi Andy, Thanks for your info , btw your vid of hitting with Mattek was great, to see how hard a pro hit was revealing and so exciting. Thanks for all the add on vids they really gives an insight to how interesting tennis is, from the pros to open players like you and how good you guys are ...

Babolat Propulse BPM Wimbledon White/Green Men's Shoes Questions

Hi Guys, I'm interested in the Babolat Propulse BPM Wimbledon White/Green Men's Shoes however, the reviews about it being 1/2 sizes smaller concerns me. I normally wear a size 9.5-10 depending on width so is the Propulse smaller by 1/2 a size in length or width? Many thanks

yonex equivalent of pure aero and pure drive

That is so strange you found the Ai100 so cumbersome. The Dr100 was so easy to swing to me as I've been using sticks with SW closer to 350, the Ai98/Dr98 was also too easy to swing. I was wondering if something was wrong, if I was to get one I would lead it up by at least 15g. If you are...

Any RF97 or PS97S users try the DR98?

Then the Duel330 might be worth a demo. Those of my friends who have tried the Duel330 says it has a very crisp response but with all the benefits of the large yonex sweet spot.

yonex equivalent of pure aero and pure drive

Yonex have always been middle of the road in terms of power, spin, feel but huge on sweet spot size. I can't think of any yonex which can serve as hard as a bab. The only thing close is the Ai/Dr100.

Tempted on the Babolat Pure Strike?

If you're looking for something easier to use and isn't another 18x20 I'll say give the Ai100 a demo. Having tried the Dr100 and from the advice of the TW guys I think the Ai100 is a sleeper hit.

Anyone else here use Genesis Black Magic poly?

I remembered my first playtest when I got some off Mistalava. It was the best string at that time I've ever used, the thing that stood out was how it pocketed the ball then firmed up and literally locked the ball in place for me to decide where to direct the ball to. I played some of my most...

Any RF97 or PS97S users try the DR98?

I had the RF97 for a month, the PS97s for 3 hrs and the Dr98 for a week. I agree with what you said about slices and defensive shots but not on the power assessment bit. The Dr98 is only 310g vs the RF 340g so it's really hard to say which is more powerful pound for pound. The feel is more...

Prince Textreme Tour 100P vs Wilson Blade (18x20)

That's an interesting take on the TT100P, when I had a brief hit with the TT95, I did feel somewhat disconnected to my shots but couldn't quite put my finger on it. If that's the issue with the stick then, I think the stick needs some stiff n thinner strings like Hyper-G 17 at >50 lbs

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

That stick needs at least 6-8g of lead at the side and some at the throat. The thing I've noticed of all the Yonex sticks is the iso head and funky throat does take away a bit of power but it also makes me much more consistent. I found the Ai98/Dr98 to have similar issues (lateral stability)...

    Which Radical?

I have tried them and a good buddy really loves his Head Graphene XT Extreme Pro but for some reason I never could gel with the extreme series.
  23. mawashi

    Which Radical?

Yes the pure control/storm is fairly flexible but doesn't have the great touch, feel of an iRad. The pure strike tour is also fairly flexible and with the right strings is a velvet hammer but it plays like a log. The iRads, Pt630s are true classic sticks and finding a replacement is nearly...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

ROFL... my reply to you would be HELL no, the Ai98 is a great stick and you shouldn't even think of the PDs! The Ai/Dr98 are seriously fun sticks! Just enough power and spin to make playing easy but not so much you're always having to rein in the power like with the PDs. Stringing high on a...

    Do Rackets wear out?

Sticks do wear out but more so during restringing as it's there that it experiences the greatest stresses. The fact pros restring every 7 games really can put a lot of stress on sticks.

Morphing an Ultra 100 into something with more plow and stability

When I demoed the Ultra 100 I actually found it way too powerful. Regardless, it has an ra of 14.56 so modding it would be very worthwhile. I'll put 6g of lead from 2-4 and 8-10 o'clock, counter balance it with 6-8 g of lead at the butt.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

You could ask TW for some off spec PD. Seriously some have gotten 65ra PDs if you are willing to have TW match sticks for you. Another option is to mod up a PK Destiny 295 or just demo the Ai100, it's a really good stick too. In fact, I'll say the Ai/Dr100 might be one of the best tweeners...
